Wasted Time

A deep sorry filled my heart last night.
I tried to review the recent events of my life.
I couldn't recall but a few.

I was saddened to think that the few
memories I've had during recent days,
Would all soon just fade away to nothing.

Today, I have no unusual plans to think of.
How sad it is to think that this moment right now,
Will never be thought of again.

Today,very soon, today will be forever lost.
It is as if life has been just a series of significant memories
and all the time passed in between has never even existed at all.

Years of life held in a handful of dust.

Maybe today I'll do something great that I will NEVER forget.

I feel better now. Today will not be forgotten!

Very heartfelt. Its something we all must come to terms with. The fact that eventually we will be forgotten, cast aside by lifes natural order. We cant do any thing about it except trust. Trust that through the pain of our passing our freinds will still remember us. The good times and the bad. The times you stayed up untill the we hours of the morning then passed out from pure exhastion, or when you yelled at each other for 15 minets strait and became closer for it. In the end all we realy have are memorys and the fact that long after your gone your freinds children will look at pictures that they have of you and ask "daddy whos that?" and your freind from all those years befor will look at his young child and say "That was my best freind, man we had some crazy times together" you will live on through the love and memorys of your freinds.

Hmm, not bad and I think the poem is rather deep. I have seen better but you know what, I have seen much worse so yea I liked it.

*thinks* huh . . . Lord Of Death . . . whenever you post a poem, there's always sadness surrounding it. Perhaps there's a connection between them and your life, but whatever the reason, when you write . . . you never fail to make an impression. Good job.
