P-san, your 字 is perfectly fine!!
But if you really insist that it isn't, I would suggest following the correct pattern of the strokes. Most Japanese blatantly ignore the 書き順 but I find that following it can help improve it. ...Sometimes. =P
Meh, nothing can help my 字. >_<

全然読めますよ。最近の日本人の字なんて皆そんなものです。
あとは、ひたすら漢字ドリルで練習するしかないと思います。まぁ、僕はそれをサボっていたんで字が汚いんで すけど(笑)。
I think you have better handwriting than I have ^p^.

何?! あなたの字はとてもきれいな! 日本で行く時、私は笑われたくない。 今行くのが怖いD;! 馬鹿 外人はたくない。
Datenshi、日本人ではないのですかXD。
深く根ざした||傷は消えない
Hide it, Hide it, Hide me
誰にも笑われないと思います。私も、二年前に日本に留学しにいったんですけど、日本人の前にちょっと書いて みたとき、皆びっくりした顔をしていたんです。馬鹿外人はローマ字で全部書いちゃうんです。
全然いいですよ:)
Beware the Trilinguals. They usually always know a language you do not.
1006字出来たぞ!まだ939字残ってるけどね…
Datenshiさん・・・私の字に比べたら全然ですよ・・・ -_-; ちなみに、それは何のノートです か?難しそうなのがいっぱい・・・O_o;
本当に何も心配しなくていいと思いますよ、P-san。 でも、どうしてももっと上手になりたければ、Datenshiさんが言ったように、ひたすら字の 練習をするしかないですね・・・

大学の講義のノートですよ(社会思想)。そんな大それたことはやってないです、僕の取り方が悪いから無駄に 複雑そうに見えますが(笑)

Pengin-san: ちゃんと読めますよ。
練習すればするほど、かな・漢字のバランス・プロポーションの感覚をだんだん身につくでしょう。しばらくす ると、いいリズムもついてきて、もっと自然に、すらすらと書けるようになると思います。がんばりましょう! Practice by reading and writing helps one get a feel of proportion/balance. As you become familiar with the characters, eventually, you'll find your rhythm and be more relaxed as you write.
Just for laughs, I've attached some of my first attempts at Kanji (from playing Musashi no Ken on Famicom). I totally missed a lot of the kanji and didn't have a handle on Katakana. 左側の漢字は「夏木」、「乾」、「修羅」、「百働」、「大石」、「武者」、「東堂」、「嵐子」、そして「日 高」のはずでした(笑)。二番目は、自分の漢字練習シートのひとつです。三番目のイメージは、日本人の先生 のプリントです。The context made reading it manageable, but the pages that followed contain a whole slew of text and terms that was beyond me (history).
