Happy Easter Sunday, fellow citizens of Anime Forum!
I have seen some curious things over the last few days. First I did see two woman walking through my town with a cross, with a marching band following them, and then just yesterday I spotted a giant egg walking around with a chef with a huge chef's hate, dancing. (I would rather have been the egg, as he remained anonymous.)
That which is; is the truth.
Yay for zombie Jesus
All The Ways You Wish Could Be? That's me
Sadly, me and my other Catholics and Christians and Baptists go on a lame egg hunt.
On this day of days, most epic and prideful, you were born 15 whole American years ago!
Through the odds and by doing the impossible, you beat out hundreds of thousands of siblings in the great sperm race for the coveted egg.
Probably via hax.
Regardless! You won!
So remember, whenever someone picks on you or calls you weak or small.
Just remind them that you beat out a few hundred thousand other wimps.
And the grand prize was not dying!
Happy Easter, everyone!!
My family's coming over and we're making a ham and devilled eggs, then having an egg hunt for the kids.
Happy Easter!
I don't celebrate Easter though...neither one in my family does. I went to the church with my friend on Thursday though. Holy Thursday~~

Happy Easter anime forums.
Even though I do not believe in the background behind the story of Easter, I still enjoy this holiday and right now, I am eating candy and looking for some easter eggs. ;D
Nonon Jakuzure - Best Kill la Kill baePretty damn great! #spoke2soonOta "The Cutest Otaku" 2016 - Lol, how's your account doing lately? Oh wait.
Happy Easter everyone. Hope you all have a fun time with your families.
Quick question though: what do rabbits and colored eggs have to do with Jesus being reborn/ resurrected?

Happy Jesus Day!
Happy Easter to everyone on here.
I'm not doing anything this easter, it's just another day.
Happy Easter! I'm Pagan, so I do not celebrate Easter in the Christian sense, but Easter is so Pagan anyway that there is no real distinction (other than Jesus).
To answer your question, rabbits and colored eggs barely have anything to with the resurrection of Jesus (well, they sorta do, but let me explain).
To start off, the name Easter (and most of the symbols that come with it) come from the name of a Germanic goddess named Eostre (or Eastre or Ostara). On the day of the Spring equinox, a celebration was held in her name. Because of her connection with spring and fertility, the animals most associated with her were hares (there is a difference between a rabbit [bunny] and a hare). And since eggs have been fertility symbols for who knows how long, Eostre also became associated with eggs.
Christians tried to get rid of Paganism by steadily easing people into Christianity but in doing so, adopted some Pagan symbols as their own. The egg, instead of being a Pagan symbol of fertility, became associated with resurrection and life renewed. The shell of the egg represents the Tomb of Christ, the cracking of which represents his resurrection. Orthodox Christians also paint the eggs a deep blood red color to represent the blood of Christ. The consumption of eggs is forbidden during Catholic Lent, hence the abundance of eggs on Easter. The hare, while a Pagan symbol that is ever present today during Easter, was never really adopted into Christianity (unless you watch South Park).
Now, someone brought up the whole "hares laying eggs" thing and that is also a good question. First, I would like to point out that the Easter "bunny" is not a bunny but a hare (again there is a difference). The concept of the Easter bunny came from Germans (well, German immigrants). The Easter bunny would go around and give good children eggs and candy. He would put these items in a nest that the children would build (rabbits [bunnies] do not make nests but rather burrow into the ground; hares raise their young above ground in a "nest" called a form); this where the concept of an Easter basket came from. The egg laying came from confusion between the nests that plovers made (these bird lays their eggs on the ground instead of in trees) and the ones that hares made. Since the Easter bunny gave out eggs, it was assumed that the Easter bunny was the one laying the eggs.
I hoped everyone enjoyed that little explanation. Now, who would like to partake in a Reese's egg that apparently comes from the mating of a chocolate bunny and a jar of peanut butter?

Easter is a silly cover-up for the epic-ness-ness of Lao New Year. (For this year at least.)

LET'S GOOOOOO! Into TWIIIIILIIIIGHT!!
I celebrate the resurrection of The Mecha Zombie Bunny that died for my sins. Next to the coming of the Balrogs, this is the biggest holiday of my life. And remember:
happy easter!
I sit at home watching the ceiling in case it moves!
Excitement!
There's a Bill Hicks joke in here somewhere, I just know it.
Anyhow, I spent it playing Prinny on the PSP and sleeping. I leave now to go play D&D and eat ham.
All in all, a good day.

Well, I ate ham, candy, got gifts, and worked.
The ham was leftovers. I wasn't lucky enough to have my usual nice italian dinner with my relatives. But, the gifts made up for it. Oh, and the candy, too. :]

Happy Easter!
That said, where I come from we don't do the egg thing. Basically just go to church and rejoice and all that stuff; but since I'm not a fan of doing that, I spent the day playing L4D.
It's my way of praying to Zombie Jesus.
Pope hat gives you the power to flyyyy!
Jibun Wooo~
Happy Jewish Zombie Man Day! =D
With all due respect to boot. ^^;
Perhaps the world was never meant to make perfect sense.
For easter I usually just throw random religion-related books at people who tell me happy easter. This time I just let it slide...Wait. did Zombie Jesus eat brains too? Or did he just stick with the usual human food?
Happy (late) Zombie Day!!
My family used to do Easter egg hunts, but eventually that became too much of a pain. So we stopped.
So, yeah... I did nothing for Easter.
...Is it too late to get drunk now?
