Well I did a search and I couldnt find a thread. Anyways this is o discuss anything One Piece. I should add this to my list of fav Anime. I love it! But its not shown on UK tv anymore so that kinda sucks.

But yea lets discuss One Piece.

The last chapter was awesome, I'm glad Bon-chan is back, and Luffy has been so cool recently it's crazy. Also, this hormone healing ability has some pretty dark results, considering it's One Piece.

Bar none the #1 shounen manga.

I feel that Luffy is gonna get some badass new power in Impel Down in the near future that is gonna help him save Ace. I wonder what it will be. Sounds like it'll be frikin awesome though.

Luffy doesn't get new powers. He just uses his current ability in different ways.
At first it was external things, going from the Gomu Gomu no Pistol to the Gomu Gomu no Rifle, to the Gomu Gomu no Gatling. He also though up some defensive ideas, such as Gomu Gomu no Fuusen.
After that came internal ideas, which resulted in "Gear Second" and "Gear Third", in which he takes advantage of the extremes that his rubber body can endure.

Well i meant it in that way but he has also gained the ability to use Haki which he doesn't know about yet. He might use that later to help him save ace and maybe even develop a 4th Gear. Which would be awesome.

I don't think he even needs it. So far no one has stood even a minute chance against Gear Second. The closest was Oz...but at the time Oz had Luffy's shadow...not to mention he's a gigantic monster that ravaged the world hundreds of years prior(I forget if this was 400 years prior, or during the Void Century). In fact, technically, Luffy didn't defeat Oz, if I remember correctly.

Gear Second has successfully taken out Rob Lucci of CP9, as well as Gekkou Moria, and proved pretty devastating against Magellan in this current arc.

I suspect Luffy might be able to defeat Magellan later on by using Gomu Gomu no Fuusen to blow his poison/acid away.
