Its a nice composition, the only downside I see to it is that its really orange/yellow.

I love the new one. The flow and colors are fantastic. I also like the circle clipping masks you have, its a really nice touch

I don't know. The Kutner signature, to me, looks a little watery. Did you use textures at all? My friend uses those, because she generally likes faded colors more than I do. Or maybe it's because you used a stock you didn't want to alter too much? I get that, it's happens to me more often that I'd like to admit. Whatever it is, the piece still have an overall nice idea/feel to it.

But I really do like the Cross Marian tag (Diehard D. Gray-Man fan here). Lovely lighting and colors, and shows off why I'm into your style so much. Nice job. ^^

Fail? No. I think this was well designed, you just went a little overboard with the gradient map. (orange/purple one it looks like?)

The one you made for Cross Marian is really nice, I love the strong colours and the lighting effects. My only little annoyance is the positioning of the type. Actually I think it is the size, I would have made it a point size smaller perhaps.

The Kutner one does look a little washed out. I think the colours could have been more vibrant (speak for myself on the colours, I'm told that a lot). I think it would have been so much more effective with stronger colours because the positioning of everything is spot on and I love the type.

I love the colors on your new one, and it feels very much real as well =D
Though, the background does seem a bit... plain. Try adding some faded effects here and there (especially behind the focus).

Size doenst matter. To be honest with you, I always start with a large size image for a signature, like a 450 by 225 image, then I just crop it based on the stock I am using.

Sure, you cant use either that tag, or the below, because I am giving up on your tag request. I cant find a better image of Zechs.

First is fine imo, but the second seems a bit messy, whereas the third a bit plain.

I agree that the second looks a bit messy and the image looks a tad too sharp. The third one though, I really like. I think it needs to be cropped a tad, have a border added to it, then some text on the right side. I love the colors used a lot, and it just looks so soft. The stock used is super cute too x3

And some more textured smudging, try a 9 px round hard brush :3 make sure the scattering is turned on a bit :3

Excellent Serated, you seem to have captured a good image with the phrase that I provided you with. Starting with the tag on top first.

Every time you make a smudged styled signature such as the one you are inquiring help for, you've got to realize that you create massive amounts of negative space which gives you opportunity to place: C4Ds, appropriate clipping masks, shapes, and whatever element that may fit with the overall image. Due to the fact that the signature looks very rasterized, shapes will probably give an odd feel to the tag. Therefore I suggest placing some solid C4Ds while enhancing it with a touch of effect C4Ds. Afterwards, place some of your "Serated" magic with effects and it should be done quite nicely.

That or you can do very minimal of what I just suggested and use the art of typography to take up the space of one side to fill the entire side to where it will compliment the signature as well.


The Mysticism signature, I think you looked at it as a request but that's fine. I just wanted to see what you'd come up with if I were to provide you a phrase. Overall, this tag has got to be one of your messiest and blurred signatures. There are effects everywhere that could easily be erased, depth seems to have been attempted but has been done so moderately. If there wasn't so much noise, the typography would have provided a lot more emphasis and making it seem as though it was meant to belong in the signature. Nonetheless, the tag is not bad and after skimming over the tutorial I realized how difficult it would have been. Also, that extract...I've tried with that extract and it's hard.

There are some awesome sigs here! I especially love the first sig in post #128. The colors and background are incredible in that sig. The incursion of magic sig is also nice - the brightness and colors flow well together. The magic girl sig also has wonderful color and lighting.

The Johnny Depp sig needs some deeper color on the focal point, and some colored lighting in the same general area perhaps. Nice blending on it so far though.

I've noticed lately that you tend to make a lot of signatures that are more color schemed rather than trying to make a signature colorful. True, some colors may clash, but if you play around well enough, you may end up making a signature that is both beautiful and abundant in color.

I remember that there were a lot of times that you have advised some people (TreyX and Midnight Rider for example) to try a different style. This time, I will take the position and ask you to do the same. Try a completely vectored style signature, pure C4D signature, and whatnot. A lot of your signatures either have flow that makes a V formation, one going \, and another /.

Make your signatures a bit interesting by adding different colors like I constantly advise. After a while, color schemes get old. Make your signatures rich in color! That way, it pops out and will catch your eye.

If there's a time where people need to take a step up the stairs, now is the time Serated. Try not to stick with smudging/C4D hybrid styled signatures anymore. Let's see what you can come up with then.

Hmmm , this one's tone is make the skin more natural but there's no dramatic ''effect'' like on the other one . The Luminosity would be abit better if its abit bigger imo . The flash thingy on her left is abit unbalnced to the one on her right . [it looks wayyyy blurry too .]

This one well , I just like the way it is .
It screams luminosity better than the other one . The text is even much better on this tone . And has that *gasp* or shocked dramatic effect .

Very well done. Personally I like the second version better as it seems to fit a bit better. The colors are good but I meant to just try to go for more than two colors at a time. You either go for one color scheme or two colors. Get extravagant, mess with all the colors as much as possible.

So here's my next challenge to you Serated.

Make another signature with more three or more colors as the focus of the signature while making it blend in well without much clashing of the colors. You are also not to use an anime/manga stock/extract in this signature. That is my next challenge to you Serated.
