Yeah, you got a point there. Now, if it was Chick-Fil-A chicken strips, THAT'S an emergency! Not one to actually call 911 for, but you guys get the joke.

She could have just settled for the other meal. Or she could have just gone to another McDonald's if she wanted McNuggets that badly. Its not like there isn't another McDonald's down the street.

So true. There are McDonalds almost everywhere. Around the corner. Surely another one wouldn't have been that far away. It's such a vapid thing to make a fuss about.

I used to work at McDonald's. That policy is there because they are selling you a perishable item, something that will eventually expire. You don't eat it, that's a waste of money.

Um, no, that sounds only just a bit more extreme than someone calling 911 on a restaurant that has run out of one's favorite food (and over the McNuggets? wth... do they make them that good in Florida?).

But hopefully getting arrested and being made a public spectacle, nationally, will deter her from doing it again. And anyone else with the same bright idea.

I've had the chance to try them for myself. They're good, more or less a significant portion of the time, but they're not that good. Mayhaps this woman had a secret sauce or something? x.X

I must say though that I haven't heard of a story like this that associated itself with a restaurant since the whole "hot coffee" lawsuit fiasco. It makes me wonder just how far people will be able to take their idiocy in this respect.

It is very extreme and as MP2K states it was an exaggeration.
People shouldn't get killed because of one stupid act or two or three or even ten. It is unfair for them, people should get a chance to clean up.
It is annoying to see how stupid, selfish, greedy and narcissistic some people are. This is a country where we have homeless people digging in the dumpster trying to find something to eat, and at the same time people like her, not to mention the so called anorexic and bulimia victims.

Actually, she should have gotten a refund. She was told by the cashier (who told her that he/she was the manager, but that was a lie) that she could not get a refund, that all sale are final. But McDonald's policy says that in a situation like this, a customer should have a choice between a refund or a choice of a alternate item. They couldn't have said that they wouldn't offer her a refund because food is a perishable item because they didn't make the nuggets (they ran out). Plus, they would be in trouble for a rule like that (not with the law but with their customers).

The cashier was just a liar.
