Growing old...or dying young?

Context, is another word for experience.

Really? Let's try it out then. I will put the word "context" in place of experience in a few sentences.

In my context I find that people use words out of context. ;]

In the 2008 election, Sarah Palin was blasted by the media for her lack of context.

Going to an anime convention can be a good context..

Some people find prayer to be a spiritual context.


As we can see here, context is clearly not another word for experience.

You used the word "context" out of context my friend.


On topic though, I think love can be unconditional. I changed my mind.

I have no idea what i want to do and i dont want to think about it either , it eats my head. About dying , well , i cant predict the future but i really dont care about dying now or after some years.....whenever my eyes want to close.

Your link didn't make your case. "Context" still does not fit in the way you used it. I'm not going to derail this thread any more making my case that "context" does not mean "experience". Use a thesaurus.

About the unconditional love thing,

I think love is unconditional when it's "true" love. If love exists at all it exists in the form of loving in spite of things that might normally make someone stop caring. I think a parent/child relationship is a good example of this.

Although the point I was trying to get across was, unconditional love does exist, find it and it will make your life worth while, either way. Long or short. Best example I know of unconditional love, is Jesus dying for us on the cross but, thats a whole different subject.

I would be neither, I wouldn't afraid of growing old, nor dying young. If I did die young, then I did my best to make everyone around me happy and would be glad that I cherished those moments with them. If I grew old, I wouldn't be afraid because even though the years pass by, I would remember everything from the past and be happy I spent all those years with those people. ^^

I think love is unconditional when it's "true" love. If love exists at all it exists in the form of loving in spite of things that might normally make someone stop caring. I think a parent/child relationship is a good example of this.

parent/child relationship is usually the combination of love and commitment.
in some other cases, people give a lot of significance to blood relation.
in some more messed up cases, parents view their children as reincarnations of themselves or something.

in the first case (the way it should be), when your child is born (or adopted), so is your commitment. naturally, having spent so much time with your child, you grow fond of it. later on, you feel responsible for its mistakes. if you see your child has grown up to be a failure, you give it a helping hand and a few more chances, but if it turns out to be hopeless, you will definitely give up on it. therefore, that kind of love is not unconditional.
in the second case, it's all about spirituality (i.e. nonsense), when blood connection is necessary and sufficient condition for love. now, if someone replaced you with another baby when you were born, do you really think your parents would notice the difference or that somehow they wouldn't love that child? and if they discovered the truth and had to give away the child they raised in exchange for their own flesh and blood, years later they would most likely still love the child they gave up on more than the one they have. therefore, that kind of love is not unconditional, it's just based on some very wrong beliefs.
in the third case, if parents view their children as reincarnations of themselves or something similar, they don't love their child, but project the love they have for themselves (aka selfishness) on the child.

there's no such thing as unconditional love. sometimes it might seem so, but if you test its limits, it will fade sooner than you expect it to.

Well I would like to die old but not soooo old like 105 or somthing its just about having fun in your life and thats all!! and dont worry about DIEYING!!.
Because this is what god can can do and we cant intefear!!
