I never heard my accent before until last year when my Chorus teacher said that Delawareans say phone like... I can't really describe it unless you hear it.
Do I like it? Well, I hardly notice it that I don't mind it.

I have an accent, pretty much unique to the maritime provinces.
Nova Scotia/Cape Breton/Newfoundland has an accent that is pretty much unique to that part of the world. We tend to slur some words together, pronounce things a bit differently, cut off parts of words and in some cases, just make up words or apply other ones where you normally wouldn't (example: "Look'it that yun' cod thar bye" really translates to "look at that young lady there sir" in normal english.
Now take all of that, and double your regular speaking speed. Almost everything sounds like one big long slurred word. I think that may be some kind of Irish influence since they settled Nova Scotia along with the Brits and French.
Normally, I have it controlled.. only people from that area can detect it, but when I get excited, or sometimes when I'm mad ... man it just comes right out. I got excited about something a few months ago and a coworker just looked at me and had no idea what I said.
i have a really bad southern accent, i hate it so much.
well, i'm not sure if my case of an accent counts, considering i wasn't born with it, but i picked mine up instead, and it sounds like Cmdr. Tucker from Star Trek Enterprise
My sister is Kissed by Neji my OTHER sister is Morning Grace.......i gots family!
New York accent? When I went to New York, people can tell where I'm from because of my English, they know specifically what state I'm from. However, I don't find big differences in different dialects in English in America. But in my country, the south and the north have very different, all the tongue twisting, the strong "shhhh" sounds, and blah blah blah.
I have a Hispanic guy accent...
For the record, not having an accent is an accent, I forgot what is it called though...
LoL...YOU STOLE MY ACCENT!!
My accent base is midwestern, but depending on who I'm talking to and my choice of vocabulary, I can sound as if I'm from Texas, London or even Ireland (though what part, I'd have not a clue!). Apparently, like my handwriting, I've picked up numerous influences from the people I've known over the years.
My French has a distinct Mexican accent to it and my Spanish has a noticeable French accent to it as well (could never make my professors happy with my pronunciations).
I like accents. I love listening to how people speak and say certain words. Though there are words I'll never quite manage to get out of my own mouth quite right...Worcestershire comes immediately to mind. My b/f teases me to no end cos I can't say it.

Myrra! In response to the rep you left!
For the kind of accent I meant, check this video, its your standard Newfoundlander/Newfie accent:
(explicit language warning blah blah)
My normal accent is half of that, but he's talking slow, when people from the east coast provinces talk amongst themselves its probably about twice as fast.
There, now you heard it! It should remind you of Irish somewhat, because NS was settled by them, British and French hundreds of years ago.
100% pure Aussie accent. I love it. XD
~Thanks to Paprika for the awesome sig. ~
I don't have an accent, I'm from California, which for some reason there's an assumption any and all Californians have either use surfer lingo or talk like Valley girls. Which is crap and clarifies you haven't been to California enough.
Sometimes, when I'm bored I talk in a crappy Russian accent and refer everyone as comrade.

I have a very heavy Suffolk accent (can't read or write but can drive a tractor etc. kind of thing). Yes its a British accent but not like the posh upper class or cockney accents that we are stereotyped for. I love it and am very proud of my country heritage.
I guess I have asian accent, but it's sounding more like american-like as my step dad talks in american-like accent everyday. I don't really mind it, though.
