Have you ever gotten a detention before in school?

If you have, why did you do to get the detention?

I haven't had detention yet, so I doubt that i'll get it anytime soon.

I got a detention everyday when I was in six grade. I was really stupid back then. I think most stupid detention I got was because I made a mask out of my science test. I'm sure there were worst detentions, but I lost track after a while.

It wasn't an actual detention, but back in grade school my computer privileges were revoked for a while after I downloaded Napster.

There was a detention I got for calling the French teacher a 'slacking educator', though. Grade 6 or 7, I think is was.

No but I've had SAC [dunno what that stands for] a few times but you just sit in a room thru the entire school day with other kids doing.. nothing other than homework, reading and smoking pot out of apples. <___<.. I never quite understood the logic behind SAC.


And I usually got in trouble for the same shiz different day. Cussing and sleeping.

Was it a chocolate cupcake? I can just imagine it. I would've stolen it too. The only detention I got that is close to that was when I got a detention for stealing a teacher's pencil. I didn't think I could get in trouble for that. After all, it was just a pencil.

Indeed it was chocolate, very yummy and very tasty. Btw, you got a detention because of a pencil? A lot of my fellow students take pencils and never get in trouble. I guess it all depends on if the teacher likes you or not.

I think she did. She's the reason why I got a detention everyday. She once game me a detention for drawing a small square on a handout she gave us. And another person also got a detention on the same day for drawing a stick figure. I think she was just mad with power. She was fairly new.

That's understandable, new teachers have no idea what to do with the power they contain. They overuse it and act power hungry. Teachers that have been teaching for a large amount of time know they can make mistakes and not worry about it. New teachers try to cover it up and they act really stubborn most of the time.

Yeah, I got a detention before. One that lasted the remaining reccesses I had in school...so really, just 3 months worth.

In grade 7 I got detention for not handing in a form. I cried so hard when I got home. Only time I have ever gotten it.

Detention many times, from swearing, laughing in class, accusing my french teacher of killing my nanopet, not finishing homework, or just outright telling a teacher who was a retard that he was in fact, a retard.

Got suspended for a week once when I called the vice-principal a piece of crap (I didn't use the term crap ..) Nazi. I said other things, but I won't even bother to allude to what they may be.

Oh well, school (junior and high) is a total joke anyhow.

Have any of you noticed that on the detention form, the teacher makes the situation sound worse than it is? For example- one time I put a kick me sign on the back of my friend, and on the detention form it said that I was hazing and convincing others to commit acts of violence against my fellow student. My parents thought that I murdered the kid or something after they read that.

Well, I got ISD (in school detention) in 7th grade because I forgot my sewing stuff two days in a row for Home Ec. I didn't mean to do it, but bringing my sewing stuff to class just isn't my biggest need in the morning. When i walked in the ISD room, the lady was like, "You definately don't belong here . . ." i will never forget my sewing things again . . .

Nope. I started off as a good student, that I will continue. Me getting a detention would be just a big shock to most people.
But I did almost get a referral once, but skipping PE =.= Luckily, I knew she was alright with me she's just threatening us, so, she forgot or just didn't do it. [my friend was freakin out and cried xd poor thing] I probbaly did that just cuz that time my life was uber boring =.= so i wasn't thinking.

Oh, and I didn't turn in my homework.
But that has happened countless times before, so I got detention more than once obviously.

This is all last year, & haven't gotten one last year. I am unsuspendable. Is that even a word?
