Do you live in a bad neighborhood? If so, elaborate on what's going on to make your neighborhood bad.

Where I live has gotten worse as of late. Just yesterday someone was stabbed in the leg, and there is blood all over (it's very obvious since it's snowed recently, which really brings out the red in blood.) There isn't a weekend when there isn't some sort of brawl or altercation. We also had a bunch of guys ambushing people and robbing them in the woods (real Robin Hood of them). And a string of gang beatings last summer. Oh, and someone was murdered like two weeks ago. Finally, there is a lot of questionable money in circulations. When you buy stuff, you pretty frequently get money stained by dye packs in change.

The area I live in is quite peaceful. But there have been a few muggings. Which isn't so strange considering the fact that there are so many dark parks suitable for such things to happen. >_>

Eh, kinda, not so much as bad as some though
Worse thing that ever happened here was that a group of people saw something...drug related around this area (injector with the needle attached)
Something coincidental is a 3 criminals fled to this area, they got caught though, fortunately.

Other than that...not really. The kids here are pretty much criminal like already though (picking fights with anyone of any age), thus naming this area the most hated place in this country.
I can't agree more though (there's some more reason, lets leave it at that for now)

What makes my neighborhood bad are the people in it. It's supposedly considered a "ghetto" neighborhood, because they "make it ghetto". I don't understand how awful of a neighborhood it is when people here are mostly middle-class.

Fairly bad neighborhood. For example, this guy was looking out his window and saw that a ditch was on fire. He called firemen and the cops to come put it out. It was a body someone had left to burn.

Its an okay neighborhood, the police hear of things before they actually happen.

There were several gang threats/school shooting threats last year. Last year though, 2 men were shot and 2 girls were raped.

My neighborhood is very peaceful, only counting the people who live in the area. But, my neighborhood is located near a fairly busy street, so cars are ALWAYS noisily going by there. That sorta makes the neighborhood bad to me.

My STREET is quiet, but I'm not sure about the rest of the neighborhood. There are some trouble makers I'm sure. A few years ago though a neighbor broke into my dads car and moved the next day O_O. Thats the only problem I've had considering I've been living here at least 15 years...

It depends what area of the town you live in as to how bad it is. But yesterday some thugs came into our school with balaclavas and baseball bats to beat up a guy in my year. Sometimes girls get followed home by weirdos too, but all in all it's a nice place to live

About three months ago a guy was at a McDonald's drive-thru and stabbed a hypodermic needle into the employee's hand instead of giving his money. And a pedophile picked up two 12-year-old girls from a kegger, drove them 50 minutes away and raped them behind a school. There aren't many incidences around here but when things go down, people are pretty creative about it.

If I just think that every working day I'm travelling freely on a way which didn't even exist and was condemned and just impossible 20 years ago [before the Fall of the Wall], and that I'm actually living in what used to be before one of those neighbourhoods gloriously represented as the socialist workers' part of the city- it is quite good.
As far as I know of, the serious crminality isn't high, although thefts are common at some times.

It's not as bad as Oakcliff. Supposedly, I do live in a bad 'hood but I've yet to see much.

I would say it's pretty peaceful, but there are times when something does happen. There's usually a case where a person in a car starts stalking some girls when they get off school. There was also one time when some guy got stoned and was yelling all over the neighborhood. I think the worst thing that's ever happened was the time when a doctor stabbed a cross-country runner with a knife. Our school decided that it would be a good idea to make the runners practice on a bike road we have in the town. Apparently there was this doctor that got crazy, and whenever he rode near someone with his bike, he'd stab them. He only stabbed one kid from our school, and he got caught.

well, there's god knows how many dealers in my neighborhood and the police just let them be as long as they steer clear of kids. it's because of this that we get to see (and, more importantly, smell) various bodily fluids all over the hallways and sometimes even get harassed by junkies.
other than that and ugly looking buildings, i guess we're fine.

Unless you're from LA or New York or some big city, your town can't be worse than mine. I "know" a guy who was a pack mule for drug dealers at 11. (Note quotes)

We've had major crime, but this has been the first month w/out any gang violence. It's actually pretty damn violent in my city.

My school is on a watch list for some kind of drug thing, but my hood has very little crime. Excepting a double murder that occured when I was in school once a long time ago, and the occasional gang activity, stuff hardly ever happens.

Yeah I do. It's not super bad that I can't walk down the street. But there's a lot of bad things that have happened. Let's just say I've seen channel 5 helicotpers fry over my house before. And my city is on the new sometimes alot.
But I'm still save.

It's gotten pretty peaceful in recent years. Now it's just the occasional shot drug dealer or someone getting jumped. Hell, even the drug dealers are less conspicuous.

No. My neighborhood is actually a peaceful place. It's small and quiet. But one time, a neighbor threw a party that got a little out of hand and these guys from Maryland got in an arguement and one guy had a gun and... no, no! Nobody died! Relax... sheesh... the police had to come and stop the party so yeah... that was the most interesting thing to ever happen in our neighborhood.

It's pretty much peaceful where i live...Thx Goodness. But at the crossroad from where my street starts,that is a pretty bad hood. Things used to be very bad in the past tho. But now it pretty much calmed down.

People in my neighborhood like to say it's bad only because they're all stuck in the 40's and like to assume that every African American is a crook, rapist, drug dealer, or pimp. They also think that every Hispanic person is a job-stealing illegal immigrant.

But no, my neighborhood is nice and quiet.
