No, the largest treat is still nation states with large stockpiles of nuclear weapons. Terrorism isn't a very likely way to die, and therefore it isn't much of a threat.

Well, Christianity and Islam seem to have the easiest time justifying terrorism for whatever causes they may believe in, although it's technically possible that any ideology could produce terrorists.

Terrorism might not be the largest threat to mankind but it is still a big threat
just a few days ago, Mumbai was attacked by terrorists.they are still fighting, i think.
anyway, i don't think that terrorisms relate to Religions that much..although some are related.

I don't buy into it. It is a minor threat that has been exploited by politicians to erode liberty and democracy in order to secure more power. This is especially evident in the UK, which has been frequently bombed by the IRA for 40+ years and then jihadists blow up some buses and a subway train and then all of the sudden it's so much more serious.

Especially disturbing is the appetite with which the masses eat the transparent crap politicians feed them.

Indeed. The most dangerous threat mankind faces today is still nuclear warfare, and the fact that most governments have the emotional maturity of a 5 year old high on sugar. Even though the immediate threat is not what it was 20 years ago, history teaches us that international relations can change at an alarming speed.

It seems to me that most people who act in forms of terroristic acts have some form of movement or cause attached to it. I view it as that. One way of people trying to make a "statement" in the world.

Well, that wasn't what I was saying at all. Let's not forget that the KKK is a Christian organization. I was saying that in spite of all the terrorism that had been perpetrated on American soil, up to and including blowing up government buildings, people didn't really care because it was being perpetrated by White Americans. That would make American soldiers terrorist in Iraq. After all, they did destroy a bunch of cities and killed some civilians in the process. And there was also no reason for us to be there. All we did was destroy their country, and tried to rebuild it with our ideals (democracy).
