3. Someone new who refuses to learn. Not to be confused with 'newbie', who is someone new but willing to learn. For example, I would class myself at the moment as a 'newbie' on this forum. If however, I started flaming everyone and ignored the rules despite being told them repeatedly then I would be a 'noob'.

1. No, though they have to deserve it by being an idiot.

2. From time to time, I tend to call myself one the most.

3. Noob: Synonym of idiot, also used to describe someone who is put simply a jerk.
Nub: New person, who isn't particularly well known.
Nubikins: Someone who is not yet Jedi at something and often asks questions more experienced people answer quickly and easily. MMO guilds often have a lot of these.

4. Noob itself is fairly rare, while Nub and Nubikins appear about as often as Jailbait in my guild chat conversations.
