Toonami Ends!!!

Wow I cant believe it. Toonmai helped introduce many people to anime and after 11 years its gone. Me and many of my friends grew up watching toonami its such a shame. Well I guess it time to pay my tribute to the by gone golden era of T.V. anime..................bang. So post up your memories of Toonami. Yeah I know Toonami been going down hill for awhile now but it still made its mark.

I didn't even know Toonami ended. It's a shame really, I grew up most of my childhood watching Toonami, Gundam and Yu-Gi-Oh, not to mention Naruto were some of my favorites.

All of they shows were never worthwhile for me to watch. I think that the English voices for the anime sounded too stupid & they never showed any good anime anyway.

they had a few Gems. Toonami is where I first saw Gundam Wing. And I think they had G Gundam. But yeah, I haven't seen it in years and TOM was great.

Does anyone remember Maltar when he ran the show?

Omg, honestly part of me wishes Toonami wouldn't end. From years, it has been showing some of the greatest anime like DBZ, Yu Yu, and Pokemon. Now Toonami has matured, showing shows like Naruto and One Piece. I feel sorry for those anime fans, this was the only place where they could watch anime. Part of me wishes it would come back, the old Toonami.

..Wait.. so does this mean no Naruto Shippuuden? Or are they going to put it on AS?

toonami was how i saw cardcaptor sakura and sailor moon.........its a shame too see the thing that held the 2 animes that got me really into anime itself die..........i marked it on my calender

I do remeber when maltar ran the show. Like I said on another post I remeber watching toonami on afternoons mon-fri when they showed sailor moon, tenchi muyo, DBZ, even Hamtaro. I remeber being upset when they moved it to just saturdays but still I watched it religously with shows like naruto, mar, yu yu hakusho, DBZ and DBGT. I admit toonami has been going downhill for years, but still I'm going to miss tom. I liked him best when he was in the ship with the helmet on. I hated the new design of the stupid walking robot. Please let them show shippuuden or I'm going to have to go back to watching it online.

I remember those days of Hamtaro and Sailor Moon, I was so young but i still remember. Those were awesome days. I used to tape DBZ, I have almost every episode on tape. I used to watch Toonami with my friends, have little parties once a week.

I also agree that Toonami has been going down hill, but it's the place that got me into anime, so I love it.

Anyways, I will miss Toonami dearly but I think its about damn time for it to end. Hell, the only reason anyone watched it anymore was for Naruto which; lets face it, is not the greatest dub ever and has more fillers than Inuyasha. Hopefully a few of my Naruto-obsessed friends don't have a stroke when I tell them o__O;

I'm glad it's gone. Sure, I'll admit, that was all I ever watched on television for a time. But, they stopped showing decent stuff and put on a load of crap. I haven't watched anything on Toonami in so long, I didn't even realize it was gone until I found this thread.
