TIP:

Do drafts before you do the actual piece.
It makes it look tidy, another way to make it look tidy, is if you do the good copy on a clear sheet of paper, not lined.


BIG TIP OF MINE: watch A LOT of famous anime movies, try, Miyazagi, he is a famous Japanese animator. I have watched 90% of his movies and i can tell you, my pics have gotten so much better!
