The Self Creation Website describes it as:

I like to think I'm self aware.I can sense what a person thinks of me. Very easily too. Everything I do has mixed reviews.

I am very self aware, the problem is, I often get side tracked or lose motivation in trying to choose what I know should be changed. Maybe I have ADHD.

Of course I'm self-aware. I've started weight training again and I work out more now, and I'm down to like 81kgs from 90kgs.

I worked really hard all year to get back into College for the national diploma course. I successfully got back in too and all is well with respect and levels. I achieved it because it was something that I wanted.

I started to become self-aware sometime in early 2006, and by the end of that year I think I was sufficiently self-aware. That's when I started to think about and consciously develop my personality, interests, ideas, and beliefs.

I don't know if there's necessarily a maximum limit to awareness, though. There are still moments where I feel like I'm guided by automated responses, or where I go through a moment so blankly that I'll reflect on what happened 30 seconds later and think, "wow, I wasn't even fully aware of what was going on when that happened." And there are still plenty of moments where I don't have the energy or motivation to do something I want to do, or where I get distracted and unfocused, and time just seems to drift by.

I think I am getting alot more Self Aware and Focused in time. Past couple years I have not been very self aware previously, often losing track of whats ahead or what I am trying to accomplish.

But now I am Locked onto what needs to be done and Get done and it is getting done ^^

No matter how strong your psyche you can trick yourself.

Of course, self-awareness can be very difficult and painful at times. However, depending on your level of self-awareness, it can make you a stronger person.

On topic: Always self aware, I normally "let loose" around people I know. Though most of the time in school I don't talk much because I'm afraid I might say something stupid.

i have self acceptance, i accept every part of me. but as for right now i am very un self aware i dont know what i want or where i want to go. it can be a bad thing sometimes i find my self unfocused on the most important things and missing huge opportunities and i overly stress. but other times it relaxes me i take things as it comes and try not to worry. where i am in my life right now i wish i was more self aware

i always considered self-aware to be conscious of yourself and you're surroundings? I consider myself to be self-aware in THAT respect

Sure I'm self aware. I am definitely aware of my own existence.

The OP definition sucks. It sounds like it's out of some new age self-help book or something.

The more accurate meaning of the word self-aware is: "Self-awareness is the explicit understanding that one exists. Furthermore, it includes the concept that one exists as an individual, separate from other people, with private thoughts. It may also include the understanding that other people are similarly self-aware."

Yes, especially recently. A couple of years ago I was such a dweeb it's almost painful to look back at it. The worst part is that I thought it was cool. But now it's different. I'm not trying to be anything, I'm gaining a bit of sight into other people- not only myself. It's quite a good feeling, it makes me feel confident in who I am rather than a front which makes people think "Ugh, wth."
