That doesn't solve my problem, it just removes the location bar suggestions all together. I want dumb suggestions, like in Firefox 2, not smart suggestions like in Firefox 3.

Actually, I found an extension called "Old Location Bar" that makes the URL behave as it should.

Well, when i first downloaded i was like oh cool this is a great interface. It is faster and is has more protection. But, while i was typing in some websites, some addresses that are "naughty" came up and i was like lol wut? Turns out it takes your bookmarks and applies it to your history. It asks you do that everytime you download, you can simple chose not to import them.

I hate the new URL bar and how it keeps free-matching what I type, instead of matching from the beginning like it's supposed to.

Yeah that took a while for me to get used to.. Along with the bookmark thing at the end.. I miss my arrow :[

Tried it, didn't like it too much, switched back to Internet Explorer 7 in a day. Firefox is overrated.

It is and I downloaded it on Download Day and helped set a record

mah, using it and it seems crap as v2. There are some handy functions tho, like the new url bar ... I like it now, and the option to search for extension via the add-ons manager. Ram usage seems a bit reduced too (at least something worth mentioning).
And here it ends ... everything else is just old stuff.

in addition to what you mentioned, it also has better CSS and HTML4 and HTML5 support than Fx2 it also renders HTML and JS much faster than Fx2
it is much much improved, it swayed me to switch back from Safari though it also has to do with Safari being Mac and Windows only

One word, about:config maybe userChrome.css too. No need to delete them because you can EDIT Firefox in the way you like. Mine is almost unrecognizable.

I actually didn't notice any difference in html/js rendering between v2 and v3. that being on an older laptop where the difference is usually noticeable.
Also, dunno how it works under windoze, since I don't use it anyway ...

Overall I still don't like it for its performance ... I'm only using it cuz it's so customizable.

But what do you mean by doesn't display text so well? You can zoom in, zoom out, change the font and color, or allow pages to choose their font which is the default.

In my opinion, Firefox 3 is fast and better to use than the others, you could change the theme, put some add on(s) and a lot more other stuff that you could see in their site. The security of it is well built up and so far, it warns you about the viruses in the internet. Well mine though, I don’t know about the others.

I'm an avid FF user but I've had more problems with 3 than 2. I find there is a tendency for it to memory leak, and I've noticed some issues with it that make things run slower, inefficiently or simply not the way they are supposed to.

It doesn't happen overly often but more than the last version of FF.

That being said, I will like firefox and will never go back to IE.

It appears a lot of you don't like Mozilla 3 because you don't have the right configuration.
My is configured to the way I like it.
Its a lot faster and I love Mozilla 3.

How is it Overrated o.o.. Any Browser is better then IE7... Its soooo slow... I like the New Google Browser but I would miss the rest of my Addons etc for FireFox... Load time and In Address Bar Auto Search Engine are AWESOME!! ... but I love my Firefox addons too much ^^
