What I meant was, it can be a sense because it is an ability that requires you to use your mind/body.

In that definition of the world, playing video and drinking beer games are sixth (and seventh) senses. This clearly is not in accordance with any conventional definition of the word sense (see SSDynamite's post).

Okay, I think I have a sixth sense of sorts. For some reason whenever my phone is sending or receiving text or phone data I think I should check it. Like, before it goes off.

I know you're thinking 'It's probably just coincidence.' or 'What a retard, all phones alert you as to when you should check them.' But seriously, that's not the case.

Over the course of one afternoon, I received 56 texts messages. And since I knew I would be texting that day for a long time, and since I suspected that I could tell when my phone was about to go off, I marked every time that I received a text and checked my phone while it was receiving the data (but before it went off). It was 45 times o.O. I don't think there was any confounding, but who knows. It seems pretty convincing to me..

I don't know how to explain it well. But I always know when it's going to rain or something. And I can tell if theres going to be horrible weather in my area [I've felt the presence of a tornado in the middle of school one day.. not a pretty sight.. I was shaking and freaking out.. even though the teachers said there wasn't one.. I get home and.. joy.. It hit my neighborhood]
And if I'm in a danger zone I'll suddenly start to freak.. [sorta like code red, code green..] For some reason I can tell if I'm safe or not xD

But if I could have a different one it would be.. weightlessness.. Able to jump anywhere I wished. and wind control should come with it ^-^

The ability to forsee the future. No matter what power others may have, if you are able to tell what will happen, and how and when and why, you have an initiative that the others can't come close to.

Ha. Thinking the same thing. That way you can basically predict the future. And you can make a living off that. Especially when everything you predict happens. And you know when you die, which interests my curiosity. And to see my future would be amazing. Better yet, the Earth's adventure through time would be sweet as well.

Like M Bison, I too would like to be able to sense what was coming in the future. However, I wouldn't want to be able to sense too far into the future, just a couple days at most would be good. I don't really know why. Also, about 'ghosts'--I personally believe that just about anyone can see ghosts. It just depends on the way that person thinks and if they even believe in that sort of thing. I wouldn't actually consider it some special sense, but that's just my take on it.

That seems plausible. I guess I would need to do some research about it to really decide. But on the other hand, inventing a new sense just for myself and explaining something with the time-tested old ones seem like an easy choice. -shrug-

I'd like to be able to sense different waves in the air, like radio waves and broadcasts and stuff. Then I'd like my brain to be able to decipher them as a computer would. Then I could watch any satellite channel, read any web page, blah blah blah. Still not sure how I'd request a page since that would require input, but oh well.

We just went over this. Breathing underwater is not a sense. It would be saying that ordinary breathing is a sense which would give us a 6th sense. But it is not a sense.

It is sometimes hard to tell by individually looking at people, especially when in a place where there are so many of them.

Hmm, I'm not sure. I'd like to be able to control time, like freezing it and turning it back. But I guess that doesn't count so, ummm... I'd rather keep my 5 senses, but increased and stronger, so that I can see, hear, taste and smell things that normal people can't in a way normal people can't.

Brilliant! Although it was something I could detect since birth. I have sometimes even collapsed under the weight of my own stupidity back when I was younger. Eventually over the years I started to straighten up and became what I am this very day. What's more is that my back has finally taken its regular shape again, that was ofcourse until I spent two weeks in a primary school as a classroom assistant.
