How do you keep track of your anime?

There's soooo many anime/s (not sure what the plural is so I'll go with both)
And in each of those there's soooo many episodes.

How do you keep track of what you've watched/haven't watched?

I actually... I have an 'anime database'. I made a spread sheet with the name of the anime at the top then episode numbers down the side. Every time I watch an episode I cross one more box.

Every episode is stored on my pc so I don't forget what I've already watched. I also have a piece of paper, on my desk, with everything I want to see in the near future

I have all of my anime on DVD. Therefore t'is not hard to remember which ones I have viewed, although sometimes I do forget which episode I am on on certain anime's.

right up here *points to head*. I rarely forget a great anime I have seen. Even if I haven't seen it in years, I still might remember a scene or the general plot. An example would be Tenchi Muyo. I just watched the whole thing a few weeks ago but I remember seeing the anime many years ago when it was on Toonami.

The same goes for me with books, can't forget a great book (though Star Wars is a little blurred for me since each book, though great, is just a continuation).

It's easy you get used to watching your favorite...of course there are many but the ones you like will come to mind ...it's like that for me any ways...

I keep it all in my head. Sometimes I will get halfway through something before I realize that I've seen it before.

I don't have a list for my anime collection yet, but I will be making one soon. I do have a Excel file to keep track of my manga, just so that I won't accidentally buy something I already bought (I already have 2 copies of Tsubasa vol9 T-T)

Well, I'm a picky person when it comes to a lot of things. Especially the anime series I want to watch.

So far I'm currently only watching like 5 or so series. 2 of them are on break and will be released later in the year. I usually keep track of them on either mininova or a forum I joined that releases the subs. (AarinFantasy, CR, etc.)

If theres a new anime that's out, I'll be able to see it on CR, and if I like it, I'll DL it on mininova. D:

Like Kajiwara, I have most of my anime on DVD, and don't find it hard to keep track of what I've seen (I only go up to watching 5 different series at once, not counting ongoing series like Naruto/Bleach/One Piece which I stay fully up-to-date on).

Yeah, I've got a spread sheet up on Excel telling me which manga I've read, their author/artist, how many volumes/chapters out of total that I've read, when I started reading them...I mean, I even have the friggin' PUBLISHER listed on the spread sheet...

...but I only do this for manga, not anime, since most of the anime I watch is because I read the manga already. ;p

I have a handwritten list of shows and episode titles, which I have also put into a word document list. I also recently joined anime planet and listed all that I've watched from their database. There's a few that I've seen that's not on there.

I remember them which episodes I am on and which ones I have seen. THis is because I only watch what I like, not because everyone's watching it or something. If your watching one you're not interested in, your mind will wander during it and you wont remember. Same goes for reading. scratch that, same goes for life xD

HA! I have the artist, volumes, publisher, release status, serialization magazine info AND the next volume's release date. all in Japanese and English versions. lol ...I need a life away from manga T-T

I have the episodes stored on the computer and I most of the time watch finished series nad then I watch the whole series before going to a new anime. Or if I watch something that isn`t finished... I just remember and if not I remember around which episode it is and what happened.

So I just have to watch them as they come out.


As for anime that are already completed, I just watch them one at a time, and try to watch them as quickly as possible. I think my record was 25 episodes in a single day.
