Whether it be a certificate you've received in school for perfect attendance or doing well in a certain subject, trophies for competitions, or ribbons from events, do you display your awards in your room/home?
I thought of this this morning while watching a special they were showing on NBC about Olympic swimmer Natalie Coughlin, and how she keeps all her medals in a makeup bag in the back of her sock drawer instead of keeping them in a safe or display case (like I assumed most Olympians would do).
If you do display your awards, do you display all of them? Or a select few that you are most proud of? Could you care less about the awards you have won and stuffed them in a box somewhere, or misplaced them altogether? Do you think keeping awards around is bad luck, or do having them around motivate you to excel further? The list goes on.
Personally, I've won quite a few things whether it be in school or extracurricular stuff, but there are 3 awards I keep on my dresser in my room. Two trophies for ballet and one ribbon from a horseback riding competition I was in a few years ago. All of the other things I've lost track of and unfortunately don't care too much about.
