Make Your Own Holiday

If you could make up a holiday that would be nationally recognized, what would it be??? How would it be celebrated???


As you can probably guess, I'm torn between Baka Day and Pink Day. I would say Baka Pink Day but that would be more fun that any one person could handle. I guess I will chose neither of them and pick......Hello Kitty Day. You celebraate it by decorating a Hello Kitty Tree. On Hello Kitty Day Eve you put a Hello Kitty under your pillow. If the Hello Kitty under your pillow has a pure heart, the Hello Kitty Bunny will come and hide plushies all ove the place. The person who finds the most plushies gets a Sanrio tattoo.

Aw. I was thinking of doing that.

But mine would be better. That School Appreciation Day would be one day of each month, and on that week we get no homework. HAHA...HA! I really hate homework... <.< and school for that matter.

I'd go with a "Stay at home Day", where everyone just stays at home for one whole day and no one goes to the streets at all!

That would be creepy in some way, knowing that the outside of houses would all be deserted.

Yakuza/Hispanic Gang Recollection Day.I remember back in San Francisco there was something similar to that<Who woulda thought Yakuza reached all the way there>.They would recollect money.Every 30th.Good Times.It's not official though.

I would make remembrance/memorial day a day where people can stay home, because we always still had school/work on that day. It should be a real holiday, as well as the day WWII ended.

Well, as a member of the Church of the SubGenius, every day is a holiday. I'm not kidding, the bobliographon contains a list of them.

February 11 is Tachycardia week / Overindulgence festival.
May 25 is the day of St Stalin.
June 11 is the Day of the One Hit Wonder.
August 23 is Nuclear Accident day.
etc.

Why come up with new stuff when I can have my religion think them up for me?

-Teen Day(Teens from 13-18 get special treatment for one day)
-Chocolate Week(all week you get to try out exotic chocolates for a penny each piece)
-Free money day(for a whole day the gov. gives people who need money limit up to 99.5 thousand dollars if they need it and they never have to pay it back)

As for me, i would have the national game of kicking a guy in the groin and sock a girl in the chest day. Basically it is a hunt to go kick someone in the groin and/or chest (depending if you are a girl or both for some). That would be fun to watch.

well it is not like submit and get kicked in groin and/or chest day. The whole thing is that it is like a weird version of tag but instead of one person being IT everybody is IT. hence making it more chaotic and fun.

hm the fact that Meka IS 16 makes me wonder what age she should act like. people make no sense when people say that to those who are younger than them. otherwise that holiday is terrible. if this holiday happens then i will carry a tazer with me and shock the hell out of you.

I don't know. It's like in Sim City, when all of the sudden your citizens decide it's "we love the mayor day". WHAT HAVE I DONE WRONG?! It's a symptom of deep troubles in your ironfist reign of terror when people start celebrating you and making days in your honor.

A pit of snakes sounds painful. Eesh. Just make sure Indiana Jones is no where near. He'd scream like a little girl. Lol.

And I think Eris day sounds awesome. A week would be cooler, but as jose pointed out, the world might not last... o.O

My holiday? Flip-flop day. Everyone has to wear flip-flops for a whole day, no taking them off for anything. Not even sleeping. But since I would really rather not see some old guys nasty fungus-fied feet/toes, everyone has to get a pedicure at least one week in advance. The nail salons would get really good business and everyone's feet would look nice. Win-win!
