I live in a rural area and go to an extremely small, one-building school of about 100-200 students. (K-12) So I really don't get to go hang out with my friends unless it is a very special occasion, or we're just talking after lunch on a school day.
And what makes it a bit harder is that I'm an introvert IRL. When somebody new comes to school I get all shy and quiet and pretend like I'm not even there. xD
Otherwise, I just stay home and use the comp a bunch. ^_^;;

It's not solipsistic in the least because it doesn't deny an objective reality. You kids and your half-learned philosophical terms. It's at best nihilistic. But a simple pessimistic would suffice.

Social Life? Sort of. I have quite a few friends that I talk to daily. Though me being an anime fan and all obsessed with video games and manga, it's hard talking to them without my obsessed interests coming through, in which they can't realate to T^T I'm actually am happier alone. Besides, I have way too many house chores and also I'm starting my job. So, my social life is pretty dead for now...I usually regain it when the summer is over.

Of course I have a social life, I love to go skateboarding with my friends and all and have fun with my friends, whether we're playing games, go out late at night and smash windows/vandalize, go to Wal-Mart at two in the morning and put Jigsaw masks on and ride the tricycles they have there and ask people if they want to play a game. (Hilarious moment.) I have girlfriends and everything, I'm usually never on the computer, just now I am because I'm visiting my dad and there's a computer here so what the hell. But I don't want people to think that just because other people are on alot on the computer means they have no life and are confined to a dark room with no windows and no way to communicate with the outside world.

But yeah, I mean, I'm young, I'm dumb, you know, live young, die old. That's what I always say.

Way to be awsome. Oh yeah and you're the only person I hagve seen that has posted an reall picture of themselves. I plan on doing that once I get a digital camera.

Actually its more misanthropic (you know having a general hate of the humans) than it is nihilistic (the beliefe that there is no wrong or right).

Either way he sounds like a baby. I can't tell you how many people I have met that think everyone else is "not worth socialising with" and as a result act like jerks to everyone else. I am just telling him to get over himself. No trolling there. I am saying what I am honestly thinking. Trolling would be more along the lines of...

"ALL YOU ANIME FANS ARE A BUNCH OF FREAKS!!!"

I have no life and no friends and I sit in my dark room, on my computer, all day and all night. ha ha! No jk.

I tend to have a week or so where I just want to be by myself to watch some good anime, read a couple mangas, and play my XBOX, which most of my friends just don't understand. But I actually do have quite a healthy social life. I'd almost go so far as to say, it's begining to get too busy. I go out to dance clubs like two or three times a week, I go shopping with the girls, play pool with the guys, do stupid things with everyone, but whenever I finally get home, I must admit, I'm right here on my computer until I can't be awake anymore.

That's a small part of nihilism. Quoting Wikipedia, "Nihilism (from the Latin nihil, nothing) is a philosophical position which argues that existence is without objective meaning, purpose, or intrinsic value." But as I said, pessimistic is probably the best word. It's hard to really justify the word misanthropic from that statement, because most people would agree that most people would not subjectively make good fiends. What interests would I share with, say, a 73 year old retired postal worker from Texas? Or a 14 year old sweat shop worker from China?

Also, trolling isn't necessarily dishonest, but can be posting something for the sake of a negative response when it's obvious you'll get one.

To use a meatspace analogy, you might think your teacher is an idiot, but you wouldn't tell him this to his face unless you wanted to get a response out of him, which would probably be a negative one. Honesty is trolling if it isn't tempered with common sense.

I have many friends and, in most cases, go out somewhere everyday. Even if it is just a trip to town or a simply a walk somewhere around civilisation. I see a lot of friends at college and also still visit my school friends. I also have a decent relationship with my relatives.

I see a social life to be a very important thing to an individual, almost a 'need in life' as it were. People whom sit around all day locked away all on their lonsome and always keeping to themselves can seriously affect and do bad things. One must always keep with civilisation and stay sociable, it can drive you to insanity otherwise. It's happened.

Well, when there is school...not so much really.
But during the Summer, I spend quite a bit of time with my friends. I go to the mall like..every week to hang out with people.
And I go to friends houses.
Plus we do other things, conventions, parties. Yeah. =]

When I am in school, I go to my friends houses only on weekends if I am not busy. I can't doing anything during the week. Not allowed. =.=
But my parents are never home so I do walk to my friends houses that live pretty close to me. lol They will never knooow. xD

I live in a place where I can't be with friends much.It's like once each year all the friends meet outside school and also I'm not that social because when I meet people I don't know very well I get all shy! ^^;

I have plenty of friends Mainly from school, but that's not bad because then I get to see them a lot. Admittedly, I wouldn't have friends if I didn't go out of my way to speak to them first. I wouldn't say I'm instantly likable. I enjoy going to town at the weekends and doing trips to the cinema XD Fun times when you're 15.
