P.S. In anime shows very little side of Mello... But in manga there's alot more... In manga shows more evilier etc [mmmm] side of Mello... anime shorted manga version... grrr...

I love Mello...more than anything, and JUST because he's seriously the only antagonist in this series to actually be labeled as a 'Bady Guy,' considering his affiliation with the mafia. You know, he was a good addition to the series because of the 'main four' (Light, L, Mello, and Near) he obviously stands out the most as the only one who's NOT calm and collected. His energy and emotion added a lot to the series and then after the he got the scar, there was a lot of 'mystery' about him, just because we saw less of him. I just can't help but love him: he's awesome, what else can I say?

You know, I've kind of been 'out' of the Death Note fandom for a while, but I will NEVER be 'out of the Mello fandom...he's my favorite anime character EVER!!!

I agree that Mello is one of the best villians (ever) but I still like L best.

Not really. Think about what they accomplished and how they died. L was able to use his mind and inginuity to back Kira into a corner. He was then killed.

Mello made lots of threats and was able to get close to Kira, which was not nearly as hard as discovering who he was, or countering his wit. He was then pwnd very, very hard.

There's something to be said for that.

Mello's an interesting guy O_O; ....=_= in some way.....
Girls like L more because he's pretty simple yet complicated at the same time - and he's more of a "karasu shonen" - which we call "crow boy"
Dark and smart, with a whiter shade of pale skin. Almost all of his traits are seemingly attractive to gals. And gals seem to think he's pretty cool 'coz of that. *\(^w^=)/*

L's eccentric behavior is an undeniable plus. Most people find him adorable because of this, and that's probably why he's gained a much larger following than the emotional Mello. In terms of personality, I like it when a character is calm and collected... Which means to say that I actually prefer L over the other character.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate Mello as well... Mainly because of his brillant mind and chocolate addiction (we share a similar craving). But to me, L will always be numero uno.

Mello was alright for my tastes. He looks (remember, I said "looks") like the kind of person you would see at a small coffee joint late at night. Despite him making threats pushing Light back a bit and then getting killed off, I'd say his acting way better than that of Heath Deadger as The Joker.

L is Better character than Mello.....
