I thought this was going to be a discussion of the disease mono.

Anyway, it's fine. I mean, i myself plan on being "monogamous". It just seems relaxing and fun to be with the one girl of your dreams for the rest of your life. That is until you find out she was out for you money. Then it's all about divorce court.

Personally, I am monogamous. I have never cheated on my husband, nor do I intend to or even see it happening. There has never been anyone but him for me. I take issue with people who like to spout off about humans not being monogamous creatures by their very nature. Bullocks. It occurs in the human world, it occurs in the animal world. My guess is? The people who are saying such things want a free pass to cheat.

Now, outside of my relationship I have no issue with people who choose not to be monogamous, so long as all parties involved are made aware. Be free, be "open," as much as you like, so long as you, your partner, and any third parties are made aware. It's not monogamous, but it's not cheating in my book.

I think the OP was thinking of polygamy, but probably didn't know the word.

This is as monogamy is still the standard relationship mode, and there's little debate over it.

I really don't care either way, as long as everyone involved is in on it: Whatever rocks your boat. For all I care, you can marry how many men, women, animals, inanimate objects and/or abstract concepts as you want.

Want to marry an empty soda can, or a cloud in the sky? Well go right ahead! I can even perform the ceremony (after all I am a card carrying, ordained minister of the Church of the SubGenius and of the Universal Life Church). Might not legally stick, but I really don't care that much about that.

I think it's okay to be monogamous or non-monogamous. It's a personal choice. I prefer monogamy for myself.

Monogamous. I don't really like the whole being with more than one persons thing. To me it just seems kinda... petty, I guess? Idk. But I'm the kind of person that would feel guilty dating more than one guy at a time. That's just me though...

I dunno, I don't consider it a serious relationship if it's not exclusive. I just don't see how anyone can honestly say they're in a relationship if there's a list of people with similar "privelages."

Iraq may not be the best place for that, buddy. Try Dubai or even better, Saudi Arabia. In Saudi Arabia, land-owning Saudis get paid by their government just for living there because that country is so rich. Marry a coupla girls and get their dowry. Then buy a house and let the Saudi govt send your kids to MIT or Harvard.

Oh yeah, and take it from one who has been there: Under the abayas, a lot of those ladies are pretty banging.

As for my opinion, I'm for monogamy by concurrent choice. If you want to be monogamous, feel free. Me, I'm for an open relationship. If my girlfriend/fiance/wife is frisky and I'm tired, I want to be able to tell her to go get another man for the night. Or better yet, another woman. Yippee!!
