"Foreign" Anime

Hello. What anime out there takes place in China, in the US, in Africa, and in other countries OTHER than Japan? Please let me know.

The first season of Code Geass takes place in Japan. A large portion of the second season takes place in China.

That is all I can think of at the moment.

There are tons of good "foreign" animes set outside of Japan.

For example, Cooking Master Boy set in China (which was already mentioned). There is also Houshin Engi which is also set in China. A very good series IMO.

But I have to say that the best one that I've read so far (which is not in Japan) is Shin Angyo Onshi. It's Korean and has a wonderful storyline.

Pet Shop of Horrors is set in America. Granted, it's in Chinatown, but it's still in a part of America. ^^;
