Hey all,

Okay, how many of you have tried smoking and what did it feel like? I haven't smoked and I don't plan on doing so. I don't want my life to get ruined by one cigarette.

Uh from what my friend has told me, when you first try it, it feels like a rapist with a knife enters in your lungs and makes it hurt. Yeah, persuaded me not to try it.

I'm with you, Red!! I don't smoke and never plan to, but many people do smoke in our town, on every street corner, it's a wonder why people haven't died yet X.X The worst I've been through is second-hand smoking. C'mom people!! Together, we can be drug free

I never tried smoking and I don't plan on it. It's a waste of money and makes people look/smell bad. Also, I wouldn't like to be killing everyone around me with second-hand smoke. I'm really glad my province made it illegal to smoke in/around public places, including restaurants and stuff.

smoking?? hmm.. i never tried it..my best friends are already addicted to it bcoz of their problems..but me?? i dont wanna try it at all..they say that it can help them forgot their problems in life..but for me..it'll just make their problem worst

Smoking makes you smell terrible. Ever tried kissing a smoker? I'm never doing it again. It rots your teeth and makes you disgusting in general.

In spite of what the drug nazis will tell you, one joint isn't going to turn you from an Ivy League Scolar into a Crack Ho'. It takes a great deal of abuse over a long period for Marijuana to effect your life in any big way, either healthwise or mentally.

Also, how did they force her? Did they tie her down and shove the joint in her mouth, or did they just pressure her into it? And if they did force her, why did you get mad at her?

I have a friend who smokes. One day when we were havin a conversation with my other friends (He was smokin at the same time), he told us, "Ya know, they say, second hand smoke is more dangerous so if I were you" (he then took a cig from his pocket) "I'll take this now." I laughed at him sayin, " I thought you're gonna say, get away from me or somthin". Of course I didn't take the cig, so did the others. I view smokin as a waste of money. I don't really care much about my life. I just have that mentality that I can buy some food with the money I spend on cigs (if I get addicted or somethin). And I don't really want to smell like, as our teacher said "a Dragon's breath".

So bottomline is: I don't smoke and don't plan too, it's a waste of money.

Unless her family has a history of addiction (and before you cite her sisters, note there is such a thing as recreational use) your over-protectiveness seems... well overprotective. Most people who use Marijuana don't progress to harder drugs. Most people who do have addict genetics.

As far as the "good for her" part, I don't know your particular circumstances, but there are times and people for who that statement can be true.

J/k, she's your girlfriend. You decide.

But I will offer my advice, just watch her and see how well she holds to her promise. I personally don't go for pot smokers, I don't like the people they tend to become. But that's more of a personality clash than anything else.

But if she starts showing signs of an addiction, you can save yourself the trouble and drop her, or help her through it so that she really does never smoke again. Reverse your roles and see which outcome you would prefer.

How did the first cig feel? Like an urge to cough followed by general dizziness. I liked the dizziness though.
How did the umpteenth cig feel? Satisfaction.

That's for tobacco though. Pot never sat well with me.

I never smoke more than two pack's a week. I could, but then I'd be dirt poor and be unable to walk in stairs.

If you are talking about those chocolate cigarettes then yes I was completely hooked on them. I could not stop eating them for weeks upon weeks. I would get a pack of them all the time that it was no laughing matter. All my childhood pocket money was being drained within minutes.

My first cig was, well, strange, I didn't really get the nico rush that most people get, it made me cough abit and I got alil dizzy, but that is about it.

And weed aye that bad, I smoke it and I'm not a failiure, I've never been an acedemic person, I have never done well in school, even though I tried my hardest, seriously, people totally over-react these days to the littlest things. And weed is only addictive if you have an addictive personality and you like smoke it every day in large ammounts, other than that, you wont get addictive, and it is only a psychological addiction, not a physical addiction like smack or cocaine.

I guess I'm sort of dissapointed(because I care for everyone, even enemies), more and more people in my school are smoking and it's becoming worse 0_o; Everytime my bus pulls up to drop us off at school, and when I look at the smoking area on the side of the parking lot next to where the buses stop, I see an increase in smorkers everyday!! Even some of my friends gave in and said that it was a good way of "relieving stress, or "relaxing." I am one of the few in my school that's actually rebelling against it. I am not one to give into peer pressure that easily, you see. But, everyone is entitled to do what they want with their lives, and if my friends feel like doing it, then there's nothing I can do about it

Ok, since I am the "star" of this thread, let me put in my two sense since everyone here feels as though they have a slight opinion in my actions.

I'm not yelling at anyone here so let me just get that out of the way. Like Manhattan Proj. said, I'm not going to turn into a addict. I'm not stupid. Uh, my sister didn't want me to do it but my older sis and bro in law said to just try it. I wouldn't do this in the company of anyone other than my family. I just tried it once, it's not going to happen again!

There is no way I'd turn into a Pot head or anything like that trust me. I'm way too qualified to be something great in this life to do that.

Red Hatake, I'm soo sorry hun. You have all the right in the world to be mad at me hun. If we could see each other, I'd want you to yell at me cuz I shouldn't have done it. All in all it really doesn't matter to me anymore because I know that I'm not going to do it again.
