It was only a joke and if you weren't so blinded by his skin color you would of known that he was Indian (not the the native american) but to be more precise he's a djinn. Djinn are spirits that can be either good or evil from Indian myth and they come in the color of red, blue, and black. Black being the most gentle and wise. And for the lips I dont know why there like that but Djinn are often protrayed that way but usually with big fangs behind them. So I repeat myself "it's only racist if think it is" and it is in your case, but to me no. Oh and this thread specificly asked for a "BLACK" hero or heroine never said they had to be African-American, so turn that mean frown upside down
