Avatar Upload Problem...

Whenever I try to upload it the forum message says -
"This is not a valid image file."

Is there a certain file type it needs to be (currently it's a 99p x 99p .bmp)?

When I did a post search it said there used to be a post/rep requirement... But wasn't that was taken out?

What's the file size? There's a file size limit, that may be the problem. Bitmaps are usually pretty big. Why not try changing it into a jpg or something?

It was under 100KB, even as a .bmp file... Nonetheless, changing the file to JPG worked, thanks.

You post count has to hit 200. If you uploaded an avatar of your without hitting 200, I really can't help you there.

Yeah bmp's are pretty big
I always change it to a png...

Actually, I think the problem is it being bmp. I dont think we can upload those. I might be wrong though.

I'll bet that it is the file type. I had that problem once because it was not JPG, so I uploaded it to Photobucket and then saved the image again from there and it worked fine. ^_^

I don't understand why people still make pictures .jpg or .bmp. The filesizes are huge if you want reasonable quality. I choose .png for it's quality and low filesize.
I'm waiting for the .apng. ^-^ Better than .gif.

Anyway.. It's the filetype. Quit the bmp stuff and go png!
