As for in the wrong forum? this is about is absent minded miscellaneous as one can get. This is a shinning star of what one should expect in a miscellaneous forum in an anime community. As for dirty, there is little to any perversion, maybe some alluding to something, but in all honest the majority of the conversation is related to the social impact of the existence of a "anime like human animal" on a society. The conclusions of this type of conversation relate to topics such as cyborgs, clones, extra terrestrials and things such as elves.
In the end its just fun.

In either event, if a thread with the topic of "your pics" can exist, where by attractive people get good reps, and the others don't (or get bad reps for not looking "acceptable") then the perversion has well existed in this forum for a lot longer than this topic, additionally it is by more incendius than this innocent topic.

The only problem with your logic is Amray not only discusses having a large collection of catgirl-themed H, he even alludes to wanting to lose his virginity to a catgirl. Yes it's all just fantasy, but it's fantasy that's being taken a bit far for the target community by a few individuals. When it was just about catgirls taking over the planet or something similar that's fine, but when people start talking about pervy-catgirls it crosses a line for this particular board.

You should also be aware that it's against the rules to sexualize the "post your pics" thread, too. You can comment that someone has pretty eyes, or that you like their hair, but once it's past a certain line you get in trouble.

So, what you are saying is that, it would be appropriate for us to open a new thread, after this one is closed in about 4 posts. but in this one, the topic should be, "the social implications of cat girls in modern western societies"?

I must admit that I would find this sort of discussion most interesting.
When one takes into account the inherent xenophobic tendencies of the western cultures, the introduction of say a new genetically engeneered species would be socially devistating.

In addition considering the socioeconomic implications of such an event on the lower classes, they would once again be jaded, and displaced by what I would estimate as a superior source of cheap labor. The impact would be most devastating, inducing resentment towards this new form of life.

We could also go one step further and discuss the impact this would have on the dominant conservative religious groups, specifically the one in the United States. Where by any advancements into what they describe as God's work, or the merical of life areas are meet with opposition and disdain by the "morally right".

I would also like to add to such a discussion, the effects this would have one courtship and matting habits of the population. Taking in mind the interest that has been shown by a small group of people in this form, if we where to actually go through with engineering a "cat girl" we would most certainly breed into it the characteristics that we most value in females.

If we did what would they be?, "a lady in the streets a freak in the bed", if you will? Or a submissive loyal mother, and wife? One in which a man doesn't have to worry about the "crazy genes"?

From a pure sociological stand point this sort of discussion is most interesting indeed.

But for it to have the weight that both I and you would enjoy from such a thing, posting about them taking over the world, and killing you.... would have to better explainded.

One way to do so would be, because we engineered the to the "perfect woman/cat" they would be stronger and more intelligent, thus giving them an edge in areas that would enable them to gain power and authority over the general populas.
