TwlightStarr's attempt at a Wallpaper

Please bear with me, this was something I did out of complete interest in how beautiful others' work on here has been. Of course, I used stock from the anime galleries as well as used some layers I designed and a photograph. It isn't that great but I did my best for a first try. How long I wonder does it take all of you to make these things? I am not even going to say how long I worked on this today.

This is based on EscaFlowne the Movie. I am an EscaFlowne fan, but I still haven't seen the series yet.

I think you'll have to click on it to see it better because it doesn't show up well when I tried to stretch it.

Thats not bad for a first Once you get used to whatever program you use to make sigs you can crank out some pretty nice ones fairly quick. Usually it takes me anywhere from 15-30 minutes I have a hard time finding color selections

Why when I upload do the pictures come out looking fuzzy on here compared to when they are on my computer? I save them on the best settings. Thank you by the way. It took me all day. I need to get some sleep lol.

Just woundering, what program do you use? I also suggest to look up tutorials, they always come in handy for ideas and a basic idea of how they are made. You did well blending all the images together but the text is shocking. Try and make the text go well with the image. Its mostley just the 3D text you put in there thats looks bad though. but, overall, for a first sif you did very well.

What program do I used? Paint.net, Artweaver, Gimp (which freezes sometimes or gets buggy on my system..and IrfanView for just simple things like viewing the graphics. I wanted to learn 3d stuff too but my computer runs like a turtle and all. Actually I have been trying to optimize cpu usage, but it seems troublesome even after doing a lot of cleanup. For what we spend on this thing 3 years back, the video card is horrible. Time to upgrade when we can afford to, because I want to be able to work with graphics (for educational purposes). Sig making is fun too, but I feel I take way too long. Thanks for your help. Maybe I will try a little easier one first...but I gotta go dig up the tutorials. Peace

Umm ... not sure, is this supposed to be a sig or a wallpaper? O_o;;
If it's a sig then you should really resize it since sigs are rather small images which don't exceed the size of 500x160px, while yours is 1024x768px. If it's a wall, please, let me know so I can move the thread into the wall section.

Well nice try on making a wallpaper.
BUT it would be nice if it was the right size like FlashD said and
aswell as if the quality was better and I think the orb thing
in the middle doesn't look to good at all as well as the 3D-text.
But I like the idea of the picture blending with the b/g ^^

Thank you for your comments you guys. I really have a long way to go. I am just having trouble keeping quality as well. I don't think I will be using the 3d text anymore either.
