Short or tall

Well, for me, if they can run between my legs they are short. If they can walk over me, they're tall.

Most people in my school are either the same size or taller than me. So I don't have much to say. I wish I could grow and tower over all of you, haha!! I'm nearsighted also, so I wouldn't know.

Isn't being short and tall just matters of perspective? I mean, say for example that there is a 8ft tall guy walking around. Wouldn't everyone be short to him? Shorter, obviously, but he would probably consider them to be short in general. And for another example, I'm taller than a midget but not in the limits of being a really tall guy. But to the midget, shouldn't he say I'm tall? And I he short?

Naturally, but that's not what I'm asking. From a single perspective, when does a height go from short to tall. And if you have a person on the border, and add a tiny bit of height, is he not the same height as before? Keep doing that to a short person, and sooner or later, you will have a short person that is taller than a tall person.

so this thread isn't really about height? I'm confused...xD; I think...well...um...to my perspective point of view, I determine the height of another human being in relation to the average height of a male/female at their specific age. I'm too lazy to search any information to the latest average human height at a certain age, and I don't have any limitations to where I place you in what some may call their own height chart to determine whether you are short or tall...eheheh...I don't know if what I'm saying make any sense at all now xD; so I don't mind if you identify yourself as a short or tall person, I like you the way you are. =]

In my experience, the ones who don't want anything to do with tall girls lack confidence. So think about it this way...if they're rejecting you on height alone, they weren't worth it in the first place ^^ And if they don't care about height, that speaks volumes for them.

By the by, I'm taller than my husband. Not terribly so, but it helped me get past my panic over ever finding a guy taller than me whom I'd actually be interested in. My being 6 ft meant there were always slim pickings. I'm over it now. I know I lacked confidence for a time. I wasn't ashamed of my height and never have been, but found it difficult to always be singled out over it.

If you have to call someone short or tall, you have to achieve approval from an authorized archtitect. The transition points differ by state. For example: In Alaska, the pinpoint for short is under 4'; In the EU, it's 4'8"; in Wiscounsin, it's 3'7"; in Chicago, it's 5' etc.

If your eye level is below my mouth for a guy/my chin for a woman, you're short. If it's above my eye level for a guy/nose for a woman, I'd consider you tall. Between that is average, +/- an inch or two based on posture.

The average woman in the uk is 5ft 4 and the average height for a man is around 5ft 7. So I suppose it goes from that. I myself are 5ft 9 and considered tall when I have to shop for clothes. :/

And for the sake of not being off-topic, if you're shorter than me by 3 or more inches, you're short. If you're taller than me by 3 or more inches, you're tall. I'm roughly 6 feet tall.

Im above average for my age. Im 5'5 or 5'6. I was the tallest in my classes in elementry school. But once I started middle school in sixth grade, I started to slow down. But I was one of the tallest still.

I just go by what I think. I'm 15 and I'm 5'8" and still growing, and I wish i was short like 5'3" I consider any girl that is 5'4" and lower short and any taller than 5'9" tall. With guys if they are shorter than me they are short and if they are more than 4 inches taller than me they are tall.

As far as the height continuum goes, i dont think that there is simply short and tall. I think 'average' takes up a few inches in itself, making the difference between short and tall more distinguishable.
