No, I definitely don't think it's weird for someone aged 31 to like anime. As someone older than that (I'm not saying how much older, lol) I've been into anime most of my life, but more heavily since my 20's. And with so much to choose from in beautiful and thought provoking artwork, why stop enjoying just because you're older?

I don't see anything wrong with it. Plenty of it has more mature storylines. I'm not talking about Hentai. But plenty of normal Anime is aimed at the older audience anyways. I know a big part of the world feels that since it's animated it must be for kids. Which isn't the case. Much like Video Games. Because they're "games" they must be for kids.

This question is asked so many times and answered so many times more. Answer is:
No. Media made you believe it's weird. Because the only anime on TV is pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh and more little kids anime. (Forgot the real word for it.)
So people get this image that anime is for little kids. But you just look for 18+ anime. (Not the hentai, but you can if you like ) Like Elfen Lied or Higurashi. They have anime for all ages. But it IS weird if you watch anime for little kids if you are 31.

I am drawn to some for some reason. It even breaks my heart watching some of the video renditions to songs people have made on U Tube with anime clips. What is wrong with me lol. I am 31, and still love ANIME. I hate most regular cartoons. Oh no, and I won't watch most cartoon movies either. But anime, to me is different.

Is it wrong to love anime at the age of 31? No.

Does it sound anime fan-esque? Yes.

I like more mature things for sure. I never have liked little kid cartoons, even as a little kid. No, I started young as a sci fi nut loving Buck Rogers...gosh that makes me feel old though.
I also am a Star Wars Fan, but truthfully love the original 3 films. Thank you again for all the responses.

I definitly hope not. Cause I dont ever plan to stop watchin anime. It has opened up my mind to knew thoughts and keeps my mind sharp. I am constantly thinking about what is goin to happen next in the animes that I watch.
