I would highly recommend it, the manga is usually always better than the anime. And if you enjoyed Love Hina I would also recommend watching and reading Negima!. Its basically the exact same story except theres more girls and they are all in junior high.
I think her name was Yoshimine Mitsuka. It must be kind of weird having a teacher like that.
