1. Deep storyline (ie: metaphorical)
2. Humor
3. Quality art (If it looks good, it makes me get more into it)

I support netiquette.
1. Humor
2. Storyline
3. Styles
It's laced with amphetamine.
Hey look, Japan made a movie about me!
1. Like someone said, perversion. From back since Cutie Honey's clothes disintegrated to change into her magical outfit on prime time television, it's been such a major element it's impossible to dismiss. Not that it's bad thing, eh? D:
2. Cinematography. Since anime is drawn from scratch, it allows freer and more dinamic poses and "camera work" than a recorded movie.
3. Escape. Anime can get away with a lot less realism than other mediums (impossible colored hair/eyes, costumes). It's a great way to get away from the real world for a while. Or forever D:
"If a person who indulges in gluttony is a glutton, and a person who commits a felony is a felon, then God is an iron."
-Spider Robinson, God Is an Iron
Hm... let me think.
1. humor
2. story
3. as Datenshi said, escape. It lets me escape from the real world for a while.
Waiting for
Christmas
Season four of Sherlock
The new Hobbit movie
Season five of Game of Thrones
New episodes of Downton Abbey
Its usually the story-line that hooks me to it, and how epic it is. Whereas series' such as Azumanga Daioh and Ichigo Mashimaro that do not have a story, I get hooked to them because of the Humour and the awesome animation. ^_^

1. Escape from reality. [you can see things that can't happen in r/l much]
2. Story lines.
3. Cuteness?!?! :3

I can relate to the characters. For example: Here's this loser that comes home day after day of the same tiring tasks, and that makes you feel better, 'cause you know that his/her week was a little bit worse than yours.^^
Oh, Hi-deeki, imagine... your kind not eating raw fish! ^_^

anime is like cartoons for adults. you can pretty much do anything u can imagine which is why there is such a wide variety of anime out there.
I like an anime with good animation and a good plot. Also...I like romance since I ALWAYS find a couple I want in animes paired together. Oh, and an anime with great humor is always great (^. ^)

- Storylines - Its like reading a good novel except w/o the reading, besides the subs.
- Animation/Art
- Character familiarization
- All the drama, romance, comedy, ecchi, and other genres
- The accomplished feeling of watching the last episode of a series and then starting another one
- And as many people have said before this, being able to escape the real world and become immersed in worlds where anything can and will happen
