What is your hatred of them motivated by? It's not like it's the John Paine (did I spell that right?) montrosity. Are you too much of a prog snob or do you blindly trust 25 year old critical reviews? Well, I've listened to their first two albums and a compilation. I just thought it was boring 80's arena/aor rock that was far below what that group of musicians is capable of. Calm down a little, buddy, I'm teasing.However, I really don't appreciate you claiming I base my opinions off of what a bunch of critics tell me and I wouldn't say I'm too much of a prog snob, I listen to tons of different genres some falling far away from any prog sensibilities. I wouldn't hate Asia if they were good, I don't hate them simply on the principle of prog rockers making AOR arena rock.

Dr. Pepper said that if GNR releases Chinese Democracy this year everyone in the US that isn't Slash or Buckethead gets a free Dr. Pepper. So I am hoping that happens; I like Dr. Pepper.

anyway, i dont think any of the bands i like are releasing any abums any time soon, seeing as several of the bands have dead members...

The new Weezer album can be a lot of fun I think.
I also have to add the new Freak Kitchen album, Land Of The Freaks, they always got good stuff.
And also the new Borknagar album, although I think it's set for a early January release.
And it's hard for me to admit this, but so far when it comes to the new Disturbed songs, Indestructable can turn out to be pretty decent.
And a little semi off-topic: Buckethead actually gets a Dr. Pepper since he contributed to the album, Axl said that he could have his(even though I see it 99% likely that all of The US will be free Dr. Pepperless).

I have only heard "Pork And Beans" so far, I thought it was quite good.
But Weezer usually have quite strong singles.
