How did you 1st get into Anime?

I think I first watched Pokemon, but I didn't know that was an anime.

Same thing for me. I watched Pokemon, Digimon and Card Captor Sakura not knowing those were animes. I was young back then... I only figured out those were anime when my sister's ex-boyfriend showed us InuYasha (when I was in 6th grade of elementary school). I got hooked on it and it searched on internet for things related to it. That's when I discovered other animes and started to love it. So now I'm a real anime fan since about 3 years xD

after reading all the really young ages you guys got into anime i feel kinda embarrassed that i wasn't really hooked on anime until i was 21. of course before that i watched shows like DBZ and zoids but i had know idea at that point that anime was even a word. for me it all came from America and had always been in English.
it wasn't until after i hired Nadesco out from my local video store that i could rightly claim to be hooked on anime.

My first anime was Sailor Moon although at that moment I didn't know anything about anime. My lil brother started to draw anime characters and he explained me everything about it, thanks to him I love anime!!!^___^

DBZ baby! I was watching cartoons when I was younger and during the commercial breaks I happened to switch to cartoon network and came across something which was totally different...it wasn't anything like cartoons I had seen before. Sure it was animated, but the style was completely different. I stumbled upon an episode in the middle of the Freeza saga so I had no idea what was going on, but the novelty of it all hit me like a train and I loved it.

I didn't realize that dragon ball z was anime until many years later when I went to college and met a big anime fan. And not until I was around 20 or 21 did I start searching around for more shows, starting with Berserk and Naruto. DBZ may be immature compared to a lot of the other stuff out there, but it'll always have a special place in my book.

When I start geting into Anime,I got early one more and was watching DBZ,and after that what came on next was Sailor moon,years later when I was in 4 to 5 grade I started to get into pokemon qwite alot,watched it every saturday morning.

i saw robotech, flying house, and voltron as a kid, but had no idea what anime was and there was no definition of it.

then during the winter holiday season of 94/95, i was on vacation in the philippines and first saw dbz, sailor moon, yyh, and slam dunk and finally learned what it was and have become a fan since. after that, i remember seeing ronin warriors and other bad *** stuff on tv.

It was all my brothers doing, last year he came to visit from his college and he brought his computer with a bunch of anime's and we sat down and watched them, in about 1 week we went through Nagaserete Airantou, Kanon, Love hina, Mahoraba, Futakoi, and Futakoi alternative.

I started watching anime when I was really little.
Sailor Moon was my first anime. Then it was Pokemon. Both of these anime shows were really interesting to watch. Back then, I was obsessed with Pokemon cards. My friends and I couldn't stop trading them. xD Also, I still have all those Sailor Moon figurines in my room. <3

After a while, Digimon came into my life. D3s were really popular back then. Oh, the memories. =D Haha, I couldn't stop shaking that D3. It was really addictive.

Later on, other animes popped up such as InuYasha, Naruto, Bleach, FMA, and Death Note.

So basically, anime had been in my life for quite a long time.
It all started from watching Sailor Moon. (;

Sailor Moon, of course. But Cartoon Network used to play some amazing classics when I was a child, like Vampire Hunter D, Robot Carnival, Twilight of the Roaches, etc.

i know this sounds weird, but the American Girl magazine. i used to read it, and in one issue it was illustrated with (badly drawn, i must say) anime. i started drawing that, and one day i found Shojo Beat at my library. then i started to check out anime online. and now here i am!
