Met anyone like this?

Okay, I was wondering, has anyone ever met a senior citizen that would tell you a story or start talking to you, and you walk away, only to find out they are still telling the story? Like in that Jimmy Neutron episode?

I know this guy who lives with his mother in our building who never steps out of his house. Any rare time that he does step out of our house, and he sees me, he always calls me, "Bruce Lee" or, "hey Bruce." And he would always sit me down, telling me these stories about how he was a martial arts veteran and how he did Brazillian Ju Jitsu. He'd always start off with something like, "Them Gracie brothers are good you know", or, "You look like Bruce Lee, and I'll tell you about him." Any time I walk away and go upstairs(quite rude of me, I know) and I look out the window, he is still telling his story. And one more thing, do I really look like Bruce Lee? I think not. I still respect the man, and find his stories pretty cool.

Maybe s/he is senile and/or has poor eyesight. Happens to old people you know...

Yep,I have a great Grandmoher whos like that.I always leave twoards the beginning of the story so no problem there but i'll maybe come back and find that she is still talking O____O

Well, something like that o.o My grandma has no "Shut up" factor in her brain, basically. I can be talking to my mom about something that happened at school and she'll suddenly blurt out "Now what was I gonna get at the store.... I need to buy paper plates.... And I need to fed the cats when I get home!"

To all of you that walk away from old people and let them talk to imaginary yous: I think you are terrible human beings for doing that.

I don't know if I know anyone that does that, because I don't leave blind and senile people alone and talking to themselves.

Well when I was a teen my Granny lived next door to my StepMom's Mom. She was 80-something and my Granny had me take some candy to her. I was there for 4 hours. I wanted to go really bad but I didn't want to be rude. She was talking the whole time and seemed a little lonely.

He is sort of senile, but has okay eyesight like everyone else. But I don't suspect that he has Alzheimer's disease. He is pretty old, I'd say in his mid-60's.

My crazy grand-mother is like that and maby worst.She believes that the goverment is spying on her and the only thing she talks about is that the goverment broke into her house when actually there are no proves.(She is so paranoid)

Yes, many. It reinforces my belief that old people are useless and exist only to annoy me as they drive 2km looking for spots at Walmart and end up holding me up forever and a day.
