Was one of the best games i played in a long while.
Though i didn't like the level grinding and the fact you only go through one big dungeon for the whole game.
The plot and characters make up for it.

I loved going up the Tower of Demise. Persona 3 is also one of my favorite RPGs on the PS2.
I am planning to buy this game after being introduced to the Shin Megami Tensei series from Devil Summoner.
A joke between my sister and I... Don't mind me.
Looks good, but that price tag is HUGE considering it's for an 8 year old console.
Really? I can see it in every game shops here. And P3 is worth the penny. A good game; great main character and story. One of my favourite PS2 games.
Well, after looking around at my local stores I finally found a copy used for $45, not bad considering it's going for up to $140 used on amazon.
So far I have to say I'm loving this game.
About 4 hours in, almost at the 10th floor of the dungeon.

I'll use this thread to brag
My character is at level 99, i have the persona's Lucifer and Satan. Having one of those equipped and the other with the other persona's.
Lets you use Armageddon, it does 9999 damage to all enemies.
Add that with the battle cry ability, which heals all your HP and SP after each battle.
i can use it non stop.
I'm awesome.
Nice, I'm also lvl 99 too, my personal personas are Messiah, Thanatos, Satan and I forgot the last one, that, it's helpful for elemental attacks and I use the forth persona to heal all my conrades with HP and SP included me. I also want to get Lucifer too but it was too late in the game but I will get in next one.
I love the game. I don't mind the level grinding. Its just something you traditionally had to do in JRPG's....
And yeah. Its usually best to get SMT games sooner rather than later...Same thing can be said for 80% of what Atlus releases...
MobilepoopGundam: So have you defeated Elizabeth? I sure hope you have, cause she's a pain, a real pain.
Well, FES (Persona 3 + 30 hours of extra content) got announed for release in the US on April 22 for $29.99
This kind of sucks considering I just spent $45 for a used copy of Persona 3 last month...
I got it used so I got no Artbook or soundtrack, but whatever atleast FES isn't expensive.

Just Bought It Yesterday, Did The First Floor Of The Tartarus, Seems Pretty Good So Far But The Main Character Looks Like Some Skinny Emo Kid
zorba stop here cause i see how this topic is going to become a spoiler filled one, i won't give up until i've beaten her, and then i'm going to treat myself to the fes main story.
overall the game is probably a 7-8 game, but for those who prefer a good story and can live with the little repetitive dungeons and the somewhat emo main character, as i am , will most surely love this game, i can't wait to get the spoiler for persona 4, the anime series somewhat disappointed me since they're 10 years after persona 3
Elizabeth? Oh I have a few tips for you on how to beat her.
Here:
1. Max out the "Star" arcana Social Link so you may acquire Lucifer, the light-bearer (I created him using Messiah and Metatron)
2. Create Satan via fusion (If I remember correctly I used Raphael, Thanatos and Shiva)
3. Make the two learn all of their respective skills.
4. Lucifer and Satan together would be able to pull off the Fusion Spell, Armageddon which in exchange for draining all of your SP would cause 9999 damage.
5. It would take 2 armageddons to take her down so don't hesitate to use Soma or Fuuka's Oracle to refill your SP.
*Time your armageddons perfectly though because if she uses Diarahan, her HP would be full again.
It's a real pain but it'll pay off.
Anyway, I really like this game. Especially when you can finish the game at your own pace. If you don't feel like fighting shadows then ask a girl on a date and have fun!
Truth is a thing which only appears to those who have observed, considered, and made a choice. At the end of the path you chose lies the truth...Believe in it and continue without faltering.
