I guess I said something wrong before. I'd like to retract the statement I gave, when I said that Lucky Star targets children.

I guess you guys are quite right, Lucky Star targets Otakus. Anime-lovers are sure to be captivated by this series although there are some people who don't like it but let's leave them alone, shall we? Since for me and most of you guys, Lucky Star is one of the best!!!

No offense, but the Japanese cast annoyed me. While watching i kept thinking to myself. God their voice's are annoying. I'd rather hear this in English.

But anyway, Konata WAS voiced by the same person who voiced Haruhi, Hirano Aya. But I have to agree, the OP get annoying after repeatably listening to it. It's a matter of opinion, not exactly taste. The dance for the OP was pretty cool though.

I just watched the first episode. One thing I noticed first was the dudes in the show don't stand out at all. They are drawn so generically. Anyway, I couldn't believe the first few minutes of the first episode were discussions about food. Actually, not just discussions, but they were breaking down the science about how to eat certain foods. Immediately as the show progressed, I appreciated how the things they were talking about weren't your everyday things that most characters were talking about in other anime; their conversation seems... normal. Regular topics probably discussed by regular joes like you and me.

And, also the goofiness of the show is done very cleverly. Is cleverly a word? I found myself not laughing out loud or anything like that, but I was chuckling a whole lot.

How could Haruhi possibly suck? Oh my, this is unbelievable. How could anyone hate haruhi and her eccentricity?
Sure I encountered Lucky Star haters (one even called me a japanophile) but never Haruhi haters.

Oh well, I guess thats just proof that everyone has their own taste.

But for me, Lucky star or Haruhi, It rocks!!!

Anyone know where I can buy Lucy Star in bookstores or online? I searched and can't find anything, except Wikipedia results! And I heard the DVD for the anime series is not released yet? 0__o Where can I find that too? I usually go to FYE, or Barnes and Noble, or Amazon. Any suggestions Lucy Star fans?

Lucky Star hasn't been released in North America yet as a DVD. you'll have to download it from a torrent or mega-upload.

that's basically the only versions of Lucky Star out there, by [a.f.k.]
so if you're looking for a dub'd version, you'll have to wait in hopes that North America brings Lucky Star over the ocean, or someone with a LOT of time and a LOT of friends do a decent dubbing for the world.
