Do you like coffee?


I was inspired to ask this question after I got this booklet of coupons from Dunkin' Donuts yesterday. O_o So I went to Dunkin' Donuts this morning and got this $2.49 special for a bagel with cream cheese and a medium coffee. I usually don't like coffee but I wanted the bagel with cream cheese... So yeah, I got the coffee anyway. I drank it and I still don't like the taste-- no matter how many times I drink coffee, I just don't like it. I hear it's an acquired taste. However, it's too bitter for me, even after putting gads of sugar in it. >_> Thoughts?

I have only tried one blend of coffee and it had a nasty aftertaste.
So, as of this moment, I'd say no, I don't like coffee. But in the future I might.

Im not too crazy about coffee.
My parents are always drinking it, and so does my little bro.
Cant stand the smell of it, and never been brave enough to even taste it.

I'm one of your classic, "love the smell, hate the taste" guys when it comes to coffee. Sugar, cream, or whatever else you put in makes no difference to me. I haven't acquired any taste for the stuff, and I've yet to have to stay up long, so I don't need a caffeine rush.

Some of the lighter stuff I can stand, like iced coffees, but those are usually packed with sugar and all that anyway.

I don't like coffee. It stains your teeth, and it has too much caffeine for my likes (makes me jittery).

But I like various tea's. They have many health benefits.

I love coffee. Without it, I'm basically doom for life. =P (That's a hyperbole).
I usually have one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

Coffee is great. It is an acquired taste. What it boils down to is that your brain thinks that "bitter = poisonous". Which has helped us in history to distinguish between food we can eat and food we can't. But we aren't troglodytes anymore, we can determine what we can eat on better standards than if it's bitter or not. So, we teach the brain that coffee isn't going to kill us, by drinking it. Putting sugar and cream in it won't help at all. Just drink coffee. After a while, you will still taste the bitterness, but it won't bother you at all. You just observe it's there, without judging it.

I can drink 5 cups a day. So I guess I'm a coffee junkie. But I'm also a coffee Nazi. Coffee is to be drunk black. No sugar, milk, cream or other junk. That spoils the coffee, and kills the positive effects by giving you unstable blood sugar and unnecessary cholesterol.

That's caffeine abuse, not caffeine use. That's way, way more than the level where you stop getting benefits and start getting nasty side-effects.

I don't know, he didn't seem too wired to me. He must have just had a monster tolerance, or something.

He could IV 2 grams of it an still be able to fall asleep, even when he hasn't done it for a couple months. So i'm guessing it's just a natural resistance or tolerance.

I drink coffee almost every weekday morning so that I can focus better on my morning courses.. Other than that I only have it on occasion if I have to stay up late.. Not really one of those "must have" things, I just function better on it.

The only way I like coffee is when I put about a pound of sugar in it, plus a whole LOT of creamer XD I guess I dont really like the taste of coffee alone. I only like coffee when I've made it into a mixture that could give me a heart attack >_>

That's crazy. Caffeine pills are dangerous enough, but injecting is just begging for serious side effects.

I'm a big fan of cappuchino's and frapuchino's ( however you spell those:P )
But black coffee that people make, is just geh. I don't care how much sugar or creamers I put in black coffee, it's GROSS!
But I may appreciate it when I have a job in the "real world" and need to get up extra early. :P

Well they do have a large amount of binders and fillers, but I don't think they are any more dangerous than coffee. Caffeine is a pretty benign drug. The lethal dosage is between 3-20 grams orally (depending on weight and tolerance), and the LD50 is 192mg/kg in rats.

But yea, caffeine does have some bad side effects like tachychardia, nervousness, etc. I don't like it at all.

Coffee? It's disgusting! I just don't like the taste of it. If I need caffeine I can just get a M-150, stronger and tastier.

You have to look beyond lethal dose. Just because something doesn't kill you doesn't mean it won't permanently harm you. You're pushing your heart to the limit by over-using caffeine. Not to mention what it does to your brain in the long term.

I like coffee a lot in all it's forms: black, with cream, with sugar, without, etc. I used to have an adiction to it when I was younger (12 if I'm not mistaking), couldn't live without my early cup every single day. But now I'm ok... I think >_>...
