Personally I believe in astrology, not as in the newspaper horoscope, but the characteristics of a certain sign. Of course, it depends about the time of your birth as well, but that's not my point right now. Let's see which zodiac sign is the biggest Anime freak! ^.^ Do you believe in zodiac?

I do most certainly not. There are two aspects of it, the fortune telling and the personality type. Both ideas are preposterous.

No, I don't believe in signs like zodiac. Our characters might coincide to that from the signs but we're individuals so there's no way of telling our true nature. Determination by zodiac, if it's correct, is just purely a coincidence.

I'm not into daily horoscopes and all that crap but I have noticed that similar astological signed people have similar personalities. Anywho, I'm a Taurus, sign of the bull. Fear me.

I fit no sensical pattern as far as my behavior is concerned, so I don't see anyway for someone to predict my personality and disposition based on the time of my birth.
Plus, I don't like the idea of having cancer as a sign. I don't like connecting myself to any disease, for that matter...
If the zodiac were accurate, it would be on fortune cookie paper in place of all those proverbs and "You have many friends..." comments currently printed (HEY! THEY COULD LABEL THE BOXES!). It'd certainly do well for sales...but fortune cookies (or anything else retail, meaning 'companies-can-be-sued-for-false-claims') don't use the zodiac, leading me to conclude (through needlessly complicated means) that the zodiac is a load of horse manure.

 

I could've just said "Eris is right," but that would've been lacking amusement for me to enjoy.

The thing most people forget about fortune-telling and divination is that it's supposed to give an idea of a possible future. Nothing is written in stone until after the fact. That being said, I put minimal faith into my daily horoscope; I read it just for fun.

Horoscopes are iffy, if not rare, that the occurances are true.

Characteristics are much more easy to match.

Although I do not belive those daily horoscopes that appear in the newspaper, I do use astrology (mostly Chinese but sometimes Western) as a form of divination (I also use theliomancy, divination using the behavior of animals). Despite what some people say, divination and fortune-telling are not the same thing. Fortune-telling is the prediction of a person's future on a everyday basis through supernatural means, usually for profit. Divination is the interpretation of omens and is more of a religious thing.

Chinese astrology is more specific than "I was born in the year of the <insert zodiac animal year>". Every zodiac animal is assigned an element that rules over them: Wood (green), Fire (red), Earth (yellow), Metal (white) and Water (black). The years also have these elements and they can be either Yin or Yang. The zodiac signs tell more than your general personality. The year that you were born in tells you which animal other people see you as because of your actions and demeanor. Also, every person has an inner animal (based on the month that they were born in) which shows what motivates a person (this sign is most often used to determine if you are compatible with another person). Last, every person has a secert animal (based on the hour in which you were born) that truly shows what your personality is.

For example, I was born in the year of the Yang Metal (White) Horse. Since I was born on June 5 (yes, I am a Gemini ), my inner animal is the Snake. My secret animal is the Dog.

Well, when it says, for example (and I'm just pulling this out of thin air here), "An Aquarius is better suited for a Virgo than a Pices," it kind of goes back to the personality types. A very type-A person usually won't do well in a relationship with a free spirit, basically. It's the same thing with the Chinese zodiac, I think, but don't quote me on that.
