What did I do so bad that my account is locked?
Assuming that your asking me if i'll get offended by any one of them...
I don't really care what other people say to me. I don't really celebrate Christmas, but both are fine. It's the good intentions that count, no?
Siggeh made by me. Taking requests ATM! =3
Its not that. I can carless about anyone getting offended period. I think it sucks that people get offended by " Merry Christmas."

Whichever is fine. ^^
I celebrate Christmas so "Merry Christmas" is okay.
To me, "Happy Holidays" just merges the greetings for both Christmas & New Year. ^^
But I think, a more generic polite greeting for the season would be "Happy Holidays" if you are not sure whether the one you're greeting actually celebrates Christmas...^^
I like to say "Happy Holidays" it is more general, just in case they celebrate other holidays, instead than just plain christmas...so I do not care what people say to me...YEP...so I accept "Happy Holidays" more than just "Merry Christmas" but I really do not care at the end of the day, because I forget to celebrate.
You can't compare these. "Happy Holidays" is used from Thanksgiving on to New Years, were as "Merry Christmas" is used on Christmas and thats it. They don't mean the same thing.

Well, what a nice attitude you've got >.>
Its not so much that people get so offended by it, but rather... annoyed (I assume) Imagine if someone came up to you and said Happy (Insert religious day here) and you didnt celebrate it. Like if someone came up and said "Happy Columbus Day!" and had a bunch of Columbus decorations in their yard. You'd probably give them a strange look since you dont really celebrate that too much >.>
Personally, I dont think it matters between happy Holidays and Merry Christmas, but as Hatake Buruku said, they arent both just limited to Christmas.

It doesn't really matter to me either, because you never know what a person might celebrate, everyone doesn't celebrate Christamas. But i do, so i say 'Merry Christmas'! But, i don't get offended or anything if someone says 'Happy holidays' to me. Some people, unlike me, the first person who says Happy holidays to them they wanna chop their heads off, since they say, "I celebrate CHRISTMAS!!" And I'm like sheesh calm down already, they didn't know.

Meh, I say "Happy Holidays" incase someone celebrates Hannukah or Kwannza (Sorry if I didn't spell that right >_< ) for instance, I don't mind someone saying "Merry Christmas" to me even though I am a Jewish as well. Just a simple mistake. ^^ I don't mind it.

Merry Christmas.
Because I use it. I NEVER say "Happy Holidays" o.O
It doesn't matter to me to much really.I usually say "Happy Holidays" if I don't know the person though.
If someone came up and wished me that, I'd punch them in the nose. I don't care much for the man or his so-called discoveries.
Anyway, to compare the 2 holidays is really absurd as I wager 2/3 of the world population knows about Christmas. And those living in western nations that celebrate it should darn well be aware of why the stores and city squares are all dressed up in festive gear. No one does that for Columbus. And outside of Easter, I can't think of any other holiday as widely celebrated or recognised.
As to the greetings, I prefer Happy Christmas. If someone is offended, I really don't care. A bah-humbug to them too!

I don't care either.I'll say happy holidays because some of my friends don't celebrate Christmas or Hannukah. So I just say Happy Holidays and thats it.^^
Set by me.
I was Hieko.
Honestly, the only thing that annoys me more than people who are offended by "Merry Christmas" are the people that are offended by "Happy Holidays". Because not only is there that common dosage of unnecessary offense between the two, usually when some one is offended by "Happy Holidays" there also tends to be an even healthier swig of
HYPOCRISY!
And that's just stupid.
I was going to say it first, but some one got to it before I could. It's not so much offense as it is annoyance. I mean, I wouldn't get offended if some one came up to me every day saying happy honica all the time but I'll still be a little annoyed that they keep assuming I celebrate a religious holiday that I never have. I don't think it's really too p.c. to just try and consider other people's feelings. I mean, it's saying the same thing and expressing the same amount of kindness to say "Happy Holidays" as opposed to just "Merry Christmas" plus it encompasses so much more than just Christmas, which has also already been said. [Darn you two!]
But as for my personal preference, I have none. I celebrate christmas (mostly because of the presents, the awesome food, the fun decorations, the opportunity to visit those I love whom I've not seen in some time, and well.... the presents...), but I honestly couldn't care less if anyone spouted Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays to me during this time of year.

Merry Christmas, because it's used here in adverts and banners. Happy Holidays is too general, it can mean every other holidays.
It doesn't matter to me. Whatever people feel like saying is their own choice, and I myself don't often say "Merry Christmas" or "Happy Holidays" to people anyway.
But I guess if I had a preference, I would say "Merry Christmas", because that's what I've grown up with. I'll just be old-fashioned here. ;D
I support saying "Happy Holidays" to Christian Evangelist Nut Jobs, and saying "Merry Christmas" to Liberal Hippie Nut Jobs. That way, every one loses except me

I put merry christmas in the poll >.<
But it really doesn't matter, as long as you greet some1. Plus, it's not every1 who celebrates Christmas.
