Tattoo's

This is mine after I got it done in October (note the shinyness that is blood and ointment). It is a Lotus Flower (if you didn't know). Om Mani Padme Hum is a Tibetan mantra which means "Hail to the Jewel in the Lotus". The lotus flower represents many things for many different cultures and religions and peoples. I am very happy to have gotten this tattoo because it represents a lot of meaningful things in my life. Plus I think its really pretty.

It is sort of hard to get a good picture of my tattoo, I'll just have to have someone else take one for me someday.


Oh I also want another tattoo eventually. I don't know what it's going to be yet...probably something nerdy.

I do not currently have a tattoo, but I've been thinking about getting one in a couple of years. I haven't decided on a design, but I have a couple of drawings that would be great for a tattoo.

I have four tattoos. I got them eight or nine years ago and cannot stand to look at them now. I now always wear long sleeves and long pants no matter the weather. It is amazing what we think we know ourselves as teenagers...

gums on the other had - that is going to hurt a lot - and possibly make eating a bit of a painful and hazardous event for a while

this is one thing I can never get. Now aside from the idea of wanting a tatoo in the first place, why go through the pain and experience for something that you cannot show off about?
If it so hidden (and not for a special person) why bother having one?
I thought the idea of a tattoo was to that people could see the markings

I plan on getting tattoos. I plan 1 of two plans

1. Get Sith-like Tattoos and apply them to how the Sith do, long, painful and all over. (Think Darth Maul).

2. I have a list of about 25 Tattoos I want on me, magickly runes, glyphs, signs to go across my body. Dun have pictures and I CAN'T describe them.

I've tried the temporary tattoo. You know, the one that looks like stickers and you apply water and voila, you have a tattoo. But I'm not going to have a tattoo. I bet it'll be painful.

My advice to anyone who is going to get a tattoo is that you only get them somewhere where you can easily hide it. If you are ever being chased for by the police or feds a tattoo is the best and easyest way for them to identify you.

I always want to tatoo my hands..(*_*) but not right now. I want to tattoo myself when I am sure about what to express, also because I might get addictive and go all crazy...and be cover in tattoos. So, I want to have to tattoo myself when I am on my 40's. Yep, so I will say I got 19 years more to think where to tattoo myself, and what kind...and/or how many. ($_$) Also, because by the time I will be able to afford it, even though my cousin will do it for me, but nah, not yet. When I was younger like when I was sixteen, I was thinking about doing it, my parents do not really care, so I was like " no fun" to do it with approval, so I guess I will wait...and besides did not have a design in mind. My friend has a huge tattoo in her back...she has the eagle of the flag of Mexico. It is very big, and it is really nice.

I think I will end up getting a tattoo oneday, probably next year. I use to have absolutely no interest in them, and I still think that the majority of tats I see look ugly and poorly planned out. If I get one they will be small and somewhere discrete. I only have a few ideas:

-A Hello Kitty tattoo. (You know it's cool)
-The Triforce

Painful? yes. I have to admit I was in very much pain the entire time he was tattooing me. This was my first tattoo and it is quite large, plus it was right on my spine. For me it was totally worth it. It was over soon enough and it didn't make me cry or anything. I was sitting on this dentist like chair with my legs over the sides, I was holding onto my elbows and hunched over so the skin on my back was stretched out. I shook a little bit out of pain and I did sweat a lot. My hands and arms and thighs and boobs were just totally sweaty. Probably just they way my body reacted to the pain. Luckily I had a really nice tattoo artist who gave me a shirt to drape over my neck to hide my naked front part and gave me a couple breaks every now and then since it did take quite a while to do.
If anyone is seriously thinking about getting a tattoo I would say to take your time decideing on what its going to be and where your going to get it. Make sure the parlor has an alcive (I am toootally spelling that wrong) and ask them if you can see it, if they dont even want to show it to you...chances are your better off at a different place. Also make sure your tattoo artist has nice work, ask them if you can see their portfolio. You also want someone who you can communicate with obviously so that you can agree on something you want on you forever and something they want to create. So if you are really serious about it think about those things.

Depending of how painful it is is all down to where you get it, my didn't hurt that much until it neared the inside of my arm; and then the colouring stinged a little.

As far as tattoos go, I think they should be tasteful, unless you're a Hell's Angel. Then, do whatever your little heart desires. My father said he would disown me if I ever got a tattoo, but my mother, in her infinite wisdom and love of tattoos herself, said she would pay for my first one.

I plan on getting musical staves around my ankles (yes, 'staves' is the plural of staff). On the left ankle, there will be a stylized bass clef, and on the right, a stylized treble clef. Then, in henna, I can go in and change the melody every 2-6 weeks. Genius.

By the way, if you don't know what the clefs look like, go GoogleImage them. Since they're musical symbols, I doubt highly you'll get anything weird.
