Actually I really am bipolar, and personally I think it sucks.
Can't say I've done anything funny while I was manic...unless you call setting the house on fire with paint thinner when I was 15 funny. My foster mother had went through all my stuff and it made me mad, I don't think it's funny, but it's something I did while manic.

i can not say that I'm bipolar by any means, if fact I can not even remember the last time i had a rapid mood change. Also I can not imagine myself ever snapping for any reason what so ever LOL but it is true anyone who knows me know that I’m a pretty laid-back and relax person so as far so saying I have some part of the bipolar disorder I can not say sorry. XD

Yes i'm bipolar.I've actually done some funny stuff before,like tossing an apple at my brothers window when I was 10.I of course got in so much trouble.It was messed up though because I trew it so hard,it cracked the window very badly.I of course can be very nice and very sentimental about things at times.^^

Yeah, I sorta act like a bi-polar person, but I dont really have it... Heres a little example:
In science class we had to move out desks together to work in partners and my friend Katie was moving the desk kinda slow so I felt that it was my responsibility to do it >.> I hopped up, grabbed a desk and lifted it about 4-5 feet (Im only 5' 5'' -.-) off the ground, carried it across the room near my desk and sat it down again. The class just kinda stared at me like .___. Becuase... that was wierd and they didnt think I was strong enough to do that (Im pretty small...) But by then I had switched again and was now in happy-hyper mode, oblivious to everything around me... Alright, thats more like me just being idiotic >.>

Also, Bipolar is NOT MULTIPLE PERSONALITY DISORDER! MPD is MPD, Bipolar is Bipolar! Bipolar is is a disease where your mood is either really happy, euphoric, hyper, or your very sad and down to the pits of despair. Two polar ends of a mood, hence the name.
I will seriously beat the stupid out of anyone who says its when you have "Multiple personalities" DO YOUR RESEARCH! I see adults thinking this and I swear I think they're un educated.

bipolar is more a medical problem than a psychcological problem, its a chemical imbalance in the brain where you either have to many or to lil seriton .(spell check) Thus causing you to be between polar aspects of really angry, really depressed, or really happy. It is not cureable but is treatable with meds.

I suffer from major depression, I am not bipolar by any means. My sister suffers from cyclothymia that is a milder form of bipolar, and she has not done anything that can be considered funny.

Oi vay. This thread exhausts me -_-. "NYAH, I'm bi-polar because I got sad all of the sudden!" I don't really need to say much, since MP2K has proved his point pretty well. There's nothing that angers me more than when people diagnose themselves with diseases to make their case of anything more dramatic. It feels like they're mocking the people who actually have the disorder :/.

But to stay on topic, yes I do have mood swings... like most teenagers do.

okay I did some reading MPK2's right, so I retract my statement. The only reason I said this, is it it was the doctor who gave me the diagnosis said. Or more acurratly she said "It's a medical condition, not a disorder" I was 17 at the time I was nieve, plus I can't blame her for trying to use this to comfort me(didn't work) seeing as I was throwing spinnach at her door. I was pissed she had diagnosed me with bipolar. but yeah MP2k is right, hats off to you. (oh and I meant the manic episodes were caused by chemical imbalances hehe sorry)

Kinda sad how people are taking this pretty lightly. No, Bi-polar is not when you want to yell at your younger brother. That's just anger. Bi-polar is a mental condition were the person goes through many episodes of depression and anger uncontrollably because of the chemical imbalance in the brain.
This stuff ruins relationships and families. It's pretty serious to. That's why i am shocked by how many people in this thread think it is something to joke about.

I was diagnosed with ADD. I get tired of people saying they have it when they don't. Now to steer this back onto topic. My mother is bi-polar and I don't appreciate you running around going "We're all a little bi-polar.". You don't know whats it like and you shouldn't even begin thinking of diagnosing yourself with it. Your like the guy who uses the handicape spot when all you have is a bruise. Its just a part of your personality, not a serious medical condition which requires constant medicine.

Actually, my mother is bi-polar as well, she goes from sitting on the couch crying her eyes out to throwing stuff around the room becuase of some little insignificant thing. My mom was diagnosed with it sometime last year but they think that it may be strongy contibuted to the fact that she has really high blood pressure which makes her get very angry over very insignificant matters. Instead of putting my mom on the medications to treat the disorder, they gave her medication for every one of her "phases". Welbutrin (depression medicine) for when shes depressed, Klonopins for when shes overly-angry, and to lower her blood pressure, and I dont know of the other medications that shes been put on for all this, but its quite a few. I agree that being truely bi-polar is nothing to joke about but a lot of people here who are posting stories are kinda saying that they are acting almost as if they were bi-polar, not that they think they actualy are (At least I hope that this many people dont think they have a disease, otherwise we have a lot of hypochondriacs o.O) Thats kinda what I did when I posted, more like just posting a story about me being idiotic and having some kinda funny mood-swings, not that I really think I have the disorder/disease o.O Hopefully none of the other posters actually think that "Oh I have mood swings, so I am therefore bi-polar as of today"

-ahem- As far as I know I'm not bi-polar nor moody (I'm 20, You'd presume that age was beyond the effects of puberty.) however I have been getting angry for no reason recently.. Not going to say what though, as it probably wouldn't make any sense to you guys anyway.

However I do know someone that -is- bi-polar and it is no way fun. So I don't see how there can be anything 'fun' about suddenly getting angry at your best friend for no reason. O_o That's just my opinion anyway.

I'm very far from being being anywhere even close to bi-polar.Actually I'm more so the opposite of bi-polar.Mom carried to a children's mental clinic when I was three for being TOO calm and extremely unsocial around other children.My best friend though has ADD or ADHD and those disorders sometimes have similar effects to the bi-polar disorder.Occasionaly he gets really mad,especially at electronics for some reason.He threw his Gameboy SP across his room and broke it in half and has broken several CD players.Fortunately he hasn't done that as much for about the past year,but he has become more easily ticked off by others at school(although sometimes he as reason to).
