Favorite magician or magic trick?

Hello. Ian Black here, Nassau, Bahamas only (street) magician. Do you guys have a favorite magic trick or magician? Are there any other fellow magicians out here? Let's talk!
My favorite magician is Japan's own Cyril Takayama. He is so cool!

I'm not really fond of magic but I'm impressed with card tricks. Though if you ask me, I wouldn't know any names.

Chris Angel's freaky self is pretty cool. Otherwise magicians nowadays are lame IMO (yes that means you David Blaine) just not as cool as when I was young I guess <.<

magic is a stupid name for it.. because once you know how it is done then it isn't amazing or "magical". a better name for it would be trick..

oh and I used to be able to do this really cool card trick where I would shuffle the deck and sort them into four piles so the there were in order (2,3,4...) and in the same suit.. but I forgot how to do it..

I would hardly call it "Magic" or "Magick" as for my spellings. It's just simple tricks, illusions. No real magick to it.

To me the real magick is that you see from Aleister Crowley, or those of the Grey Council. I do studies on magick, I can even call myself a occultist in a way for I take intrest in that path.

Hmmm... Would have to say Criss Angel, Jeff Mcbride and David Roth are those I like the most.
Cyril Takayama is alrite, but his cigarette trick really blows.

As for trick, all of Jeff Mcbrides card tricks are fantastic.

i dont really have a fav. magician but im fond of what human eyes can be deceived by illusions O_o. i like chris angel, david copper field, david blane, cyril.. actually i just like magic XD..

Criss Angel is the only one I really know and like, but he's not a magician, he's an "optical illusionist". But then again, thats really what most "magicians" are; tricks, smoke, mirrors, and illusions.... I just made myself sad.

my brother has a few tricks that really baffled me. mostly card tricks tho.
all i can do is make a coin disappear. and make 3 sponge balls out of 1 sponge cube, and reversed.

I don't know any names, except Houdini (that guy's a legend!). But he does dangerous but amazing stuff! I know there's this Irish dude who does magic tricks on celebrities, but I forgot his name... ^^;; But he's pretty good. When I watched his show on cable I got freaked out with his nail trick... scared the hell out of me!

I like those magic tricks that involves some arcobatics in them, like those Chinese magic shows, how they make magic with an umbrella and how they made a bird pop out by lighting a bowl on fire. They're really pretty and amazing.

But I think any magic that haven't been done so many times that it's labelled as cliche and amazes the audience at the same time is great ^___^
