English proverbs

I have a old swedish teacher that is trying to get in as many proverbs in her lessons as possible, that makes her a little different from others due that I dont think that its so many that these days use these old proverb in their normal conversations. So, to make them sparkle in a new light I am gonna ask you what old/(new) proverb you think is the best/ or what proverb you think describes you the most. So, ....

What proverbs describe you the most/ or you think is the best?

Possible interpretation: Not everything is what it appears to be.

The one's that I belive describes me the most have to be:
* I think, therefore I am
or possible
* Veni, vidi, vici (I came, I saw, I conquered; said by Julius Caesar during a message to the Roman senate)

Others that I think is good and worth considering:
* The only stupid question is the one that is not asked.
* You can't have it both ways.
* Truth will out.
* There are no endings only new beginnings.
* The best things in life are free.
and ...
* If at first you don't succeed, try, try again.

I know that it's wrong to post links to other sites likes this (see below), but because I dont belive that so many knows about so many proverbs I thought that it couldnt harm, but if you dont agree with me, just let me know and I will delete it straight away and let ppl look for proverbs by themselfes (hahah). Easy done, easy deleted, that is.
