K, I did this vector a little while ago, and started walling it...problem is I really have no idea as to what to do with the bg. I want something a bit abstract, but elegant at the same time. Any suggestions?

Hmm...simple...

I kinda like the rendering on the bg. But yeah, plain...
Hmm...will grunge effect do?
And probably would tone up abit, the bg; a bit darker.

The foreground can add foam-like, something like mist.
And, this is only a thought, would use some starry effects around the vector scan.

The best I can think of for abstract and elegant would be vector brushes for the background. Since it looks nice already with the circle vectors in it maybe you could just add more of those and a couple more random shapes? Then you could probably blur those a bit so the edges don't look that sharp and to pull off the elegant look.^_^

Hmm, I see your dilemma. After all, you have to find something that will balance out with the subject. What you need is something basic, since your subject is fairly basic herself. I'm sure you'll find something.

I kind of think that because it is a very vector based image that the background should reflect that simple elegance. Using too much grunge could go badly...I agree with baka_Black - maybe some light vector brushes in the background and some color contrast within the brushing. But I know whatever you decide to do will come out beautifully! <3
