Final Fantasy Agito XIII

A simple wallpaper from the upcoming final fantasy 13 game for the mobile phone. I thought simplicity would best suit this particular extraction, but then again, what do you think?

Oh, and I just thought I'd point it out. This is now a regulation size widescreen wallpaper. For some reason I got my dimensions wrong for the previous ones. But it's all fixed now.^_^

Used the same technique I did in my kos-mos wall to sort of clean up the dirty extract. It didn't clean it a 100% but it's much less noticeable now.

Its pretty standard, no real effects. Try adding some flow or a background.

I would much like to see effects on the bg, i.e. textures; grunge/abstract.
Needs cleaning on the scan. Grainy...

Right. Thanks.^_^ Edited one. Added a lot more effects this time around, added an overlay and a 1px white border to hide the quality of the scan. Your thoughts?

Hmm the effects don't span the entire background so it might be better to round them off giving it a spot light effect that way the shadow thing still works and so does the black background thing??

The border doesn't have to do with the scan's quality.

Nice abstract bg. But the left side really plain; the black bg. I'd rather like to see abstract covering the whole bg.
If possible, add grunge effect. It be alright if adding together with the abstract effect.
Shadow on the back, i.e. abstract covering up the shadow.
You use drop shadow, no? If so, then don't. Duplicate the layer, make it black so to look more like shadow. The duplicated layer then move down below the abstract layer.

And again, clean the scan.

Ah sorry. I'm used to putting borders on stuff do to give it a finished look. Carry over from my set making. I'll stop using it with my wallpapers then. Actually I resized the extract and added a black overlay on it. And I wanted to keep the left side plain and simple so there'll be space for the icons. Thanks to both of your comments.^_^

Changes with this one, aside from the obvious one, would be I changed the blending of the extract to hard light and gaussian blurred the pic underneath. I think that hides the quality of the scan though it might look a little soft now. Plus blurred and smudged the outline of the grey brushes a little to make it blend better with the black bg.

Nicely done.
I think it has nice effects and that maybe it needs a little more color added to it.Like fill in some of the blackness with some kind of either lighter but dark color or something lighter.
Just my opinion....^^

Well then, if it's like that..then I've nothing to say.

But, I would prefer to be a whole, rather than a portion of the abstractness, leaving it blank. That, would look nice.
As for the scan's shadow, and as I've said before on the previous post, duplicate the scan (see previous post).
No point saying it again, but I guess you did good work for the scan, though that's not call 'cleaning'. More glowing-like.

Though I said it harsh, but you still can make a better wall, if you have gone through different styles. Practice more and try different styles. Do not try to stick with the same styles. It's good to go in different ways.

For this wall, it'd be 6/10. Keep it up.

this is a bit off=topic, but i dont really like this type of scan. it has wayy too many people in it.

anyways, on-topic.
ehh... i dont like the blurred part on the outlines of the character. plus, this type of image makes the people look like they're flying.
it IS better than the first one, but still it looks similarly the same. =/
the C4D looking brushes doesnt look too good here, but the sharpness of the brushes still looks good.
try making it a bit more colorful. the gray looks.....meh.
