Machinae Supremacy

Machinae Supremacy is a Swedish alternative rock band with video game influences. Some say they are founders of new subgenre SID metal. SID/MOS6581 ("sound Interface Device") is sound chip used in Commodore 64 computer. They use SID-stations and that gives them very unique sound. What I like about them is that they support sharing their music over the internet, and there's big MaSu community. They released three albums so far- Jets'n'Guns Soundtrack (2004), Deus Ex Machinae (2004) and Redeemer (2006). Besides discography, there's also webography. There are most songs prior to 2004 that don't belong to any specific album. You can download them for free from their official website www.machinaesupremacy.com

Yeah I think Machine Supremacy are pretty unique. "Redeemer" is a fantastic Power Metal crossover and the synth influences are something that I for one have not heard of before.
