An experiment in night-time HDR

Just something I was messing with, this is a basic HDR, made by combining an over-exposed, under-exposed and normal-exposed images together.

Not sure if I like the B&W or the color version more, so here are the both of them.

I'll be trying some daytime HDR tomorrow, and am likely to post that here as well.

Middle of the night, so image is noisy in the parts that were brought out. Had I a tripod, i would've gone for 7 exposures instead of 3, and that would've made the detail a lot cleaner.

Also for comparison, are two daytime HDRs I did last week. Hopefully I'll start getting more interesting results soon O_o;

Hmm, I'd go the coloured photo than the black & white. The coloured photo is much more interesting, lights in the photo with abit surrealism (that's what I think). Very clear. ^^

Thought I'd snap some shots when my dad one day said to take me to the railway station to see how it looks. But he didn't.
And now, you've captured the railway tracks. Your's much nicer than mine if I'd captured some of it. ^^;

3rd photo. Er, very cloudy? or hazy? O_o
And er, what's that building? Doesn't look like Christian or Catholic to me. O_o

Since it's HDR, I want to see much more of the night sky and brighter colours. I guess it wasn't really possible without a tripod.

Heh well seems I lied, no daytime shots again. Clients didn't let me out till darkness fell, so another night-time HDR. Central park this time around, lake on the south-east side of the park,

I love love love that last one you posted. It makes me think faeries are flying around with the way the little glow spots are. What were they? Street lights flash lights...?

I love the second one more.
The daytime shots were quite nice too (I too am partial to train tracks as I live in a train town)....though I am by no means an expert on what you are doing.
And Ace doesn't have a tripod??

heh nah, I do have a tripod, but when I go out to do client work and such, it's rather cumbersome to carry it with me, as it's big, and not all that light O_o;;

Also an HDR is me taking three or more photos, and using software to combine them, so that everything is exposed.

And all the lights are streetlights generally, or cars ^_^;
