Route 2915 over Time

There are many ways to do things,

both tried and untried,

both thought up and recieved,

many separate paths to many destinations,

from many ports and harbors,
both alike and unlike.

But the map is useless,
in cryptic and ancient verse.

The roads are drawn,

but the ink has faded.

In life, so many divergent paths

lead to one place.

A dolphin and a shark,

from vastly different ports and maps,

came to one place

just to look alike,

just to compare notes.

Every meeting is

a chance rendevouz,

not to be marginalized.

But no matter what,

a solution is found,

a solution made of allusions

to previous solutions

made of allusions.

The flaws are magnified,

the flaws are reduced, eliminated.

Things become more welcoming,

conditions become ever more hostile.

All win,

all lose.

Such is life

on a grand scale.
